I really like mayor Pete
He is compassionate intelligent calm level in the head, and a veteran. And young enough to change our party to the direction it needs to go. At 53 years of age this election will be the election that I am voting for our children’s and grandchildren future.

2. I find him reassuring, hopeful.
I think he is who we need right now. I will vote for him in the primary and of course for whoever runs in the general but I think we have an amazing opportunity here. I would trust him to show sound judgement. He is the anti Trump.

3. I could not agree more!
We need intelligent CALM pragmatic level-headed leadership right now as much as we did in 2008 if not more!

5. He is
quite impressive to be sure. As you can see, lol, I'm all in on Ms. Warren but Mr. Buttigieg sure has my attention too. Warren/Buttigieg would be unstoppable imho. Ms. Warren is a fighter whos not afraid to take point and Mr. Buttigieg could "learn" about how Washington REALLY works from her and be unstoppable in 2024/2028.

21. I don't think we'll know for sure until
we see more of him. He's down to earth, speaks the truth and has an easy manner that seems to appeal to many people. I don't think being gay will make any difference. Those who hate gays will never vote for any Democrat.

Once I started to pay attention to him, my instincts were telling me he was special.
I have been struggling to try to be open minded because there are a LOT of really, really good candidates, like EW, KH, etc. But, I am not fighting it anymore. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Pete Buttigieg |

9. Seems to me to be the least affected personality in the race.
He speaks effortlessly and expounds on any question with intelligence and insight. My only question is as to what Hell the right will put him and his spouse through in the general, should he win the nomination. I have many gay friends who fear that he would be crucified in the general for his gayness and that America is NOT ready for a gay couple in the White House.
The Christian right has already labeled him the most dangerous man in the race. It would be very ugly. I am torn, I really like him and could work to support his candidacy, but am worried. We CANNOT loose this race. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Cory Booker |

16. What I like about Buttigieg is that he is taking the battle to them
He isn't just out and proud, he says he is a better Christian than they are. Rather than let them attack his sexual orientiation, he is attacking their religion. How are they going to justify "screw the poor," from the Bible?

10. Me, too, TEB. I wonder if we couldn't come up with a 3-letter
name for him that would catch on? Remember the good old days when Democrats were FDR, HST, JFK, RFK, LBJ, and the like? I wonder what Mayor Pete's middle name is? (I think Hubert Horatio Humphrey kinda ruined the 3-letter reference for Democrats...HHH just doesn't have the necessary oomph.)

name recognition is important, so sticking with Pete seems to work. we said Hillary and everybody knew who we were talking about.

Just wondering, if he does end up as President, what will the countries, where being gay is a crime, do when he visits? How would they interact with him?
Regardless, he has my vote, I was just thinking about this situation. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

countries would not accept a woman as leader.
