Cory Booker’s presidential campaign has named an Upstate radio personality to his South Carolina campaign staff.

Rhonda Rawlings, a longtime radio staple in the Greenville area, will be Booker’s S.C. communications director, the campaign told The State.

Rawlings will be familiar to listeners of WJMZ, an urban contemporary station with studios in Greenville. For 10 years, she has been the news and community affairs director for Summit Media, reading news and public announcements on the station and its sister channel WHZT in Williamston.

The New York native studied radio, television and film at Temple University, and worked in TV in Los Angeles before taking a job in Upstate radio....
