Biden Will Enter Presidential Race Next Week
https://politicalwire.com/2019/04/19/biden-will-enter-presidential-race-next-week/
Biden Will Enter Presidential Race Next Week April 19, 2019 at 6:39 am EDT By Taegan Goddard The Atlantic: “Joe Biden is running. The former vice president will make his candidacy official with a video announcement next Wednesday.”
“Seriously, he’s actually made a decision. It’s taken two years of back and forth, it’ll be his third (or depending on how you count, seventh) try for the White House, many people thought he wouldn’t actually do it, but the biggest factor reshaping the 2020 Democratic primary field is actually locking into place.”

1. I like Joe Biden, but I won't support him in the primaries.
I just really feel it is time to look forward. Joe Biden is a good man, but his time has passed. Even though I think the whole thing about him "touching" people was not in the category of "me too," and I do believe he meant no malice or intended to harass, it did represent a backward cultural attitude.
I am just tired now and I am ready for someone new, with fresh eyes, who I think has the skill set to bring the country forward. Of course, if Joe Biden is the nominee I will enthusiastically vote for him. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Pete Buttigieg |

3. So happy!
Nothing in Biden's past compares with trump. Foreign leaders are begging him to run. He can beat trump. He won't take trump's crap. trump does not want to run against Biden. trump needs Pennsylvania. Biden can win Pennsylvania. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Biden has a close relationship with blue collar workers. They will support him because they know how much trump has screwed him. I would love to see Biden run with a strong progressive Dem woman (Harris?). She would then be positioned to become the first woman President! (remember we have not had a woman VP yet either)

He wrote the Omnibus Counterterrorism Act of 1995
Patriot Act The USA PATRIOT Act is an Act of Congress signed into law by US President George W. Bush on October 26, 2001. With its ten-letter abbreviation expanded, the Act's full title is "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001". The abbreviation, as well as the full title, have been attributed to Chris Cylke, a former staffer on the House Judiciary Committee.Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot_Act ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

I'm more liberal, I think, than Joe is. But I also think this country and the world are scared shitless of what's happening in America right now and the stability Joe brings and his willingness to promote liberal causes in a way that's palatable to the HUGE segment of the population that's going to be nervous about what they think the Democratic Socialists are going to do will vote for him and trust him as, I expect, he brings along someone like Kamala or Pete as VP. And, as someone else said, we can use some joy. Biden/Harris or Biden/Buttigieg would be a joyous, intelligent, restorative ticket that sets us on a course for major change. Long-game.

42. Of course, he's running
Did anyone actually doubt this? He's been running an under the radar campaign all along with outreach, speeches and donor inquiries. He's running for one simple reason: Trump and Trumpism must be stopped and of all our candidates Joe Biden can do the stopping, repair the damage these malevolent actors have put into motion while healing our relationships overseas. Americans yearn to return to normalcy without the constant drama du jour from the Trump camp. And the Trumpanzees genuinely fear Biden because he can take a sizable bite out of the Squatter-in-Chief's working-class 'base.'
The dynamics of the primary will change dramatically once Biden is fully in. Good one on him! ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

49. #1 priority is to send Trump packing.
It's clear from my post that I support Joe running.
It's also clear from the other posts that I make here, seven days a week, that I'll support whoever becomes our final candidate. Trump needs to be sent back to Trump Tower, or Mar-A-Lago, or whichever one of his "branded properties" will have him. I'd like to see Joe as the one who sends him back, but I'm also all in for whichever Democratic candidate gets the final nod. Nothing's going to change, except for the worse, as long as Trump holds office. He can't get a second term. YES, I know about voter suppression, gerrymandering, Russia, and more. I also believe the people who predict there won't be a "peaceful transition of power" if he loses. I saw him as high as, I think it was 36%, but one of the latest polls had him at 21% and some of the intervening polls showed a slow decline. Here's hoping he picks up some steam again, as I think he's the only candidate running who has a seriously decent shot at beating Trump.
