Impeachment and the Democratic primary candidates.

As Warren is the first to call for Impeachment hearings.

A question to those supporters, happy with their particular candidate saying we should vote Donny out in 2020.

The redacted report shows a candidate willing to task his staff to seek illegal material. That many of Donny's staff worked with multiple hostile governments. Also took money and assistance from hostile agency. That many of Donny staff may be involved in bribery, money laundering etc.

If your candidate says we should wait till 2020 to remove Donny. Their telling me that their fine with these crimes.

Simply, If you have a contract with an accountant, agent, repairman, and you find out they're stealing from you. Wouldn't you fire them as soon as you found out they were stealing from you?

primary today, I would vote for:

it is better to investigate and run on a platform that appeals to the voters. A platform that motivates the unmotivated.

As we found out how this administration isn't protect our election system. It's up to each state with a majority of those state run by the GOP.

Those candidates have a lot of faith those collaborators run a fair election.

Let's have hearing after hearing after impeachment hearing. We don't necessarily need to take it to the Senate right away. Just bring out all the crimes and see where it goes or just keep bring up crime after crime after crime after crime...who knows how long it could take.

False binary choice. It's not one or the other. Calling for further investigation prior to, or in place of, impeachment isn't even remotely the same thing as "fine with these crimes".

Congressional leaders have been calling for further investigations, issuing subpoenas, requesting documents, etc.

Plus, there are numerous other investigations continuing in other jurisdictions:

Just because they're not all yelling "impeachment" from the rooftops doesn't mean they aren't doing anything.

All prosecutors weigh a lot of factors when they decide whether or not to bring charges. They anticipate the counter-arguments and defense claims. Bill Clinton had an easy and obvious defense. Impeachment and potential conviction wrested on whether what he did rose to the level of high crimes or misdemeanors not on whether or not what they accused him of happened.

The ultimate question came down to "is what he did this serious enough to warrant the kind of disruption removal from office would bring?" It's hard to say how members of congress or the general public would view this after hearing all of the arguments and political interpretations.

I'm sure the congress members who make the decisions are looking at all of the possibilities we can imagine and dozens we don't. They are having to look at something extremely disturbing from as many perspectives as they can find. Those of us who don't have actual power in this situation have the luxury of taking a simplistic view that ignores all possibilities other the ones we prefer.

The whole thing is part of that ugly sausage making realm of conducting government business. I hate to see any of Democrats come under fire when they're navigating it. I trust that they're doing the best they can at a time when we would all much prefer a typical lead up to a presidential election, AND a less horrifying administration.
