Only three American Presidents have worn glasses.

Truman, T Roosevelt, W Wilson
Sanders or Warren would be the fourth.
(I’m not talking about reading glasses).

He had a pair on when he famously dropped out of the 1968 presidential race.

Contact lenses have been around for a long time, and it's no secret that not everyone who needs them wear them.

12. Anyone over 50 probably wears at least reading glasses...not a big deal

I actually think glasses may help her as a woman candidate. The main bias towards people with glasses is that they are really smart, so that's probably not a bad thing.

So much so that he was usually drawn wearing them in caricatures.

15. That article is easily disproved. George HW, Lyndon Johnson, and Gerald Ford

all wore corrective glasses -- and they were just ones off the top of my head.

http://www.americanheritage1.com/presidents/george-h-w-bush.htm#glasses

President Bush (1989-1993) was a Stickler for Not Keeping His
Glasses on for any Extended Period Of Time. He Usually Kept them in his Left Front Suit Pocket and was Constantly Fidgeting with them as he Placed Them on his Head and Right Back to the Front of his Left Breast Suit Pocket.

Mr. Amyx became Interested in this Peculiarity and began Researching the Subject of Presidential Eyeglasses over a Period of Years. Interestingly, and also in the Amyx Collection, are the Actual Written RX Prescriptions, as Prescribed for Use of President George H.W. Bush from the Time of His Ambassadorship until the End of his Incumbency as President. For the Present Time the Identity of the Internal White House Staffer that Gifted the President's Eyeglasses and Actual Prescriptions of the President to Raleigh DeGeer Amyx Must Remain Confidential.

https://www.2020mag.com/article/potus-specs

A look at LBJ’s Rx shows that he definitely needed visual correction. While a man his age would be expected to demonstrate some presbyopia and thus a need for reading glasses—he was 55 when he assumed the presidency— he also suffered from hyperopia, with a distance Rx of +3.50 +1.00 / +4.50 DS. Still, the amount of glasses left behind spoke to something more than just visual correction. After all, how many spares does the average person have—even if that person is the President of the United States? “He frequently kept glasses lying around in case he might need them, especially inside desks and bathrooms and near televisions,” says Joshua Pitt, museum technician at the LBJ Presidential Library and Museum. “He was also prone to switching out glasses frequently for reasons unrelated to correcting his vision, such as if he decided that they didn’t look good on him when he was photographed, or appeared on television.”

AND THE LAST PICTURE AT THIS LINK IS PRES. GERALD FORD IN GLASSES -- and smoking a pipe.

could see well enough to - like an aging movie star - at least fake that they didn't need to wear glasses for anything other than reading.
