Best Argument AGAINST Impeachment...

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Omaha Steve (a host of the Democratic Primaries forum).

IF Trump is successfully impeached then Pence becomes president.
IF Pence becomes president he WILL pardon Trump.
IF Pence pardons Trump he will NEVER pay for his crimes.
I want that Orange POS to rot in prison for the rest of his life and lose EVERYTHING.

Instead, I think impeaching Barr to protect the cases farmed out and start there.

(I haven't decided what I personally think at this point, but I wanted to put this viewpoint up for the purpose of discussion.)

it doesn't work that way. No matter what else, tRump is still part of the 1%. He's still allowed to get away with his millions. He's just not allowed to be pResident any more. That will be punishment enough for him. It's sad, but you know it will be true.

Many here are discussing wanting a candidate to support impeachment strongly. I just wanted to point out that there are other factors to consider before deciding whether or not to support impeachment. It does have the potential to harm 2020 chances an I think candidates just need to be careful. Warren for instance, probably should not be too vocal now that she shared her view simply because she would actually be a juror if he is impeached. I think the subject is just more touchy than many might believe it to be.
