Harris on protecting election infrastructure in 2020.

We must embrace paper ballots and upgrades to our election infrastructure in 2020. Russia and other foreign adversaries cannot hack a piece of paper like they can a computer. Every voter deserves to have their vote counted. It’s imperative we work now to protect our elections.

Not a groundbreaking statement, but I realize she's one of the few candidates to routinely talk about improving election security.

1. You can't do it. The Senate just voted down a comprehensive election reform bill...

Elections are managed by the state legislatures. The Republicans presently hold both houses of the state legislatures to give tRump a larger electoral victory than in 2016. Any voter suppression efforts by Republicans will be fought in the courts. McConnell has just pushed through a record number of conservative judges and is determined to confirm more after recess.

We better get out a lot of votes. It would really be bad to have a lot of discouraged voters.

interference and GOp voter suppression.

I also think we need our candidates to continue to talk about protecting our voting system. It's a glaring abdication of power Donny is doing on a daily bases.

5. It is truly frightening to see the map where Repugs hold both state legislatures. ..

we are ripe for election suppression and fraud. They used Georgia as a testing grounds for every trick in the book last year and are going to do it again. Now with so many new Republican judges it will be like last time that they won't intervene because it is too late and would "skew" the election. Bullpucky

6. It doesn't have to be groundbreaking. I am glad she focuses attention on it.

Nothing really moves forward without constant effort. Harris has been good on this issue for a long time.
