Amy Klobuchar was excellent at the She The People Forum.

I watched the forum before bed last night and thought it was great. I think Castro and Klobuchar really took the night. Warren did extremely well she was just asked questions that were a bit more narrow in scope. She did great at answering the questions she was asked.

With that, I was really really impressed with Klobuchar. I’m not as familiar with her and I need to learn more about her. She was great.

Other candidates were really good but I think Klobuchar and Castro really stood out. Mainly because of their direct answers to the questions. It was also nice to be reminded of how accomplished Castro is. He clearly looks at and understands the big picture.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

We just need to make sure that whoever wins the nomination embraces the best progressive ideas that have been put out there.

...was Bernie. He seemed scripted and rehearsed. Which, given that women are generally smarter than men, that wasn't the crowd that was going to fall for it. When he mentioned marching with Martin Luther King, the groan from the crowd was noticeable.

I thought it was tone deaf to launch into a "lift all boats" lecture after being asked why women of color should vote for him. His message of economic inequality resonates with me. I like it. Speaking at a forum like this isn't his wheelhouse. It's why he cannot be our nominee.

I like how he closed by saying he is listening and listed people he is listening to. It was a bit of an "I don't have all the answers but here is where I am going to learn." I found that to be impressive from a guy with what seems to be all the confidence in the world.

I also liked how he clearly knew what was going on around the country. He directly spoke about numerous state bills and efforts on the ground. It was more than just boilerplate garbage built upon platitudes.

The only negative I came away with was on more than once he seemed to agree simply be agreeable. I do like how he directly answered the ICE question. A number of groups at the forum support ending ICE. He directly answered the question about his position on ICE.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
