The overwhelming majority alive today never learned about it or vaguely remember their Stalinist history, but not the details sufficiently to make the connection.

The small segment might cringe, but like me when I first heard the word "Queer" in common use--a term I'd grown up avoiding as a pejorative--will likely just believe it has been reclaimed as a benign familiar and friendly nickname.

That said, I think "Joe" suffices

Because he remains humble in his roots, the way he speaks in eloquent phrases, the way he shows true empathy.

But Joe Biden is far from average when it comes to intellect and his years of experience.
