If Biden gets the Nom, a Biden / Warren ticket would excite me a lot more

Biden is not my favorite but I do like him a lot. If he gets the nomination, putting Warren on the ticket would make me much more excited. Regardless I will be voting for any Democrat on the first day of early voting.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

So if she left the Senate the governor would choose a Republican to replace her. Same thing with Bernie Sanders. And with Vermont it's very possible it would stay Republican.

Everyone assumes the state is super liberal but it's not liberal on everything. There is a reason that Bernie isn't as pro gun control as many would like to see. If he were he would get voted out. It's very possible that if Bernie steps down as Senator that his seat goes to a Republican.

8. They're fully united on their BIG common goals, just differing

in degree of solution to pursue and exact methods for getting there. Don't be fooled by the "if it bleeds it may get published" problem journalists trying to make a living face; fake controversy sells.

Senators Warren and Biden are not just both real pros on how to reconcile disagreement in order to turn their major common goals into legislation, they're passionately eager to get to work.

As they're supposed to be. Any candidate who is temperamentally unfit is effectively incompetent and very unsuited to being a legislator, or any other leadership position, in a democracy.

55. That wouldn't matter. The President sets the policy. But there's another reason he wouldn't...

which is that she doesn't lock in a much needed state, or a purple state, or help in another area of the country. She's a nor'easter, same as Biden.

She IS female, so that helps. But there may be another female from a different state that would bring more to the ticket. I don't know if Pete would qualify, as a disenfranchised group member, in this year of the woman.

23. If it's Biden, Beto would be the smartest choice

Beto doesn't criticize any other candidates, appeals to the widest range of voters and Texas has 38 electoral votes and Trump could win the entire rust belt and still lose if Texas goes blue. Beto is extremely popular in Texas and Trump and Republicans would have to work HARD and spend crazy money just to try to hold Texas. If Beto is on the ticket then those 500% additional young voters vote for down ticket Democrats to help other races.

Even though many people want a woman or minority, we NEED to keep all of the Democratic Senators! There's too much to clean up to lose Senators.

I was really impressed with her after hearing her in hearings and initially had her as my number two until She The People and the Workers Forum yesterday. At She The People she did a lot of tripping over her words and then at the Forum yesterday she kept repeating herself. Unless she just had two off days in a row, which I guess is possible, I just was kind of underwhelmed. Someone needs to prosecute all the criminals, too.

50. Yes, he can deliver Texas

Trump's approval rating in Texas has dropped 16 points since he was elected. Independents love Beto and will support him. He energized the youth so much that their turnout increased 500% over 2016...not just registered...they actually got out and voted. Also, Texas is ground zero for Trump's hateful family separation. His idiotic wall would steal property from ranchers and families though eminent domain. Trump is running on immigration and the border even though he doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground where the subjects are concerned. Beto DOES know the issue and he speaks with passion and authority on the subject. He would utterly CRUST Trump and expose him as a complete idiot on the issues but not in a way that turns off more right leaning voters who don't really like Trump. I posted a thread with a link to his town hall in San Francisco today. Go check it out and see what you think. It was incredible.

Since the invention of the “New Democrats” in ‘85 the Democratic Party nominee has always chosen a fellow centrist or someone to their right.

The bundlers and the folks who write big checks would especially frown on an old guy like Biden choosing a progressive as his running mate.

If you want a progressive on the ticket vote for one. Don’t entertain the fantasy that Joe will round out the ticket with someone to his left.

They'll be the "two Democrats from the northeast." They usually strategize and pick someone from a different area of the country, preferably from a much needed state or a purple state.

Pete would fit the bill. Inslee maybe. Klobuchar. Could be someone not in the lineup.

56. Great.

Two candidates from dependably blue States in the Northeast. Not a good ticket. Warren should stay in the Senate where she can be helpful/. She’s an awful candidate.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
