Bernie 2020 staffers will be on hand at the Richmond rally to collect vote-by-mail ballots and turn them in to county registrars.

All Sanders campaign volunteers in the state are trained to help NPP voters easily cast their ballots; call scripts for phonebanks and trainings for canvasses both include extensive language to help voters navigate the process.

The Sanders campaign has also established a hotline — 818-856-5083 — for California voters to call in with questions about casting their ballots.

“Our campaign is doing everything we can to educate voters about the easiest ways to cast their ballots for president,” said Bernie 2020 California State Director Rafael Návar. “No Party Preference and independent voters deserve every opportunity to participate in the democratic process, and that’s why we have been on the ground since day one educating Californians about the ins and outs of voting. We have an unprecedented opportunity to expand the Democratic electorate this cycle, and we aren’t going to waste it.”

Bernie 2020 has seen an outpouring of support in the Golden State -- particularly among young and Latino voters. The California campaign has built an unmatched organizing machine in California, with 105 paid staffers and 22 offices open across the state. To date, the Bernie 2020 California team has already knocked on more than 692,000 doors, held more than 7,500 canvasses, phone banks, and other direct voter contact events, have made more than 4.7 million phone calls to California voters, and have received more than 165 endorsements from elected officials.
