Warren 2020
Related: About this forumTonight is it for me
Iowa Caucus.
Warren Precinct captain.
I'll do the best I can. Am a little nervous as several of the campaigns have staffers as captains (out of state people) and I'm afraid they will be pushy because they don't have to live in the community.
That is what keeps it polite most of the time, you still have to deal with these people on a day to day basis, so you keep it polite. No badgering, just conversation.
Oh, and I have to speak and I'm afraid I'll choose the wrong words.
SO, some encouragement would be welcome!

(3,280 posts)It takes a certain will to volunteer to be an important part of the process. Most people can't even muster up the will to vote, but you've gone so much farther. You have taken steps to protect the rule of law, and to participate deeply in the democratic process. Congratulations!

Afterward, one of the Bernie organizers came and said my little speech was great, moving and beautiful.
And I'm glad it is over and hope we get a primary next time around, because this is a butt-ton of work.
