KATY, Texas — Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke, lagging behind other candidates in both national and Texas polls, was in Katy on Saturday to reaffirm his strength in the Lone Star State.

The El Paso native is fresh off Thursday's debate at Texas Southern University in which he made headlines over his "hell, yes" declaration to buy back military-style assault weapons.
