Young men complained about being molested by the team doctor but Gym Jordan did nothing to address the issue. Feeding the gossip and rumors in the locker room was the extent of his involvement. It was a source of entertainment and enjoyment to prolong the situation rather than protect the young men and resolve the issue.

Kirschner had a nice back and forth on the topic, that you can’t populate the department with political appointees and claim that they’re impartially pursuing justice.

Gym responded by ripping off his shirt, flashing his baboon ass, and then screeching something about Christopher Wray. Ya know, his typical, hardline judiciary committee tactics.

Think 100 kHz range, like dolphins vocalizing or bats echolocating. Basically, Gym is very difficult to listen to. He modulated down long enough to insinuate that the current FBI director, who’s been in place since 2017 (tRump’s first year in office) is somehow part of the “weaponizing” scheme.

Kirschner was on topic to point out the hypocrisy and ignorance required to ignore the very weaponization this committee hearing represents.

Otherwise, I’m confused, too, and lack the time, attention, and ears to listen more.

I skimmed the whole show and, whereas it was the usual GOP shitshow, I could not find the "sparring" to which the OP title referred.

Thus, until proven wrong, I submit the following:
Why do we continue to see such unworthy yellow journalist headlines in the OP's of this worthy website? Such titles are misrepresentative of the facts when perused. It's click-bait, a lower form of petit advertising to sell items which are never delivered. Theft of time, false advertising and lots of other words and names I learned from my grandfather when he talked about Coolidge and Hoover. What 10-year-olds hear and recall is the storehouse of historical wisdom.

I mean, duh, it’s a Gym Jordan run shitshow, it’s a ploy for him to look busy and perform for the cameras. That Gym flailed arms after Kirschner spoke is besides the point. Bryan Tyler Cohen’s headline that they would spar does not equate to ‘yellow journalism.’

I mean, c’mon, when has Gym done anything of substance? Sometime before his stint at Ohio State, perhaps? The man has been running interference for predators for decades.

Frankly, I’m outraged this hearing is being held. It’s a smokescreen to protect tRump by demonizing the DOJ and FBI. That’s what I’m focused on, and am not about to miss the bus while staring at cracks in the sidewalk.

When we click on, we're voting with our forefinger. If we do so based on false advertising, we are victimized by charlatans. We do so knowingly, we award bad behavior while lowering our standards. This isn't about nuance. That's a whole other and actually legitimate thing. If a statement isn't true, then it is a lie. It's really just that simple. When the "ad-man" wins, democracy loses.

Is Gym a horrible and despicable creature? Absolutely. But, in this clip, he did not spar with Kirschner and that's, clearly, the only point I'm making.

It isn’t enough to rest on sensational headlines as the test for yellow journalism. The classic example of it is Hearst’s coverage leading up to the Spanish-American War in the late 1890s. Trust me, I’d line up to accuse BTC of yellow journalism if he lies incessantly about say, a nonexistent invasion. Live streaming a congressional hearing is quite different. He didn’t mischaracterize the nature of Gym’s hearing du jour, as he did spar… mostly with himself.

Page 569 of Project 2025 should alarm every American, so the minutes I watched of the it were worthwhile.

crouching near enough to smell the sweat of such tabloidia? Should we re-remind the civilized world just how short the "little corporal" really was? I mean, wutzit gonna take to break into that "big league" of traditional propaganda which blows in common with the wind's obvious direction? Did I mention how I think Cohen's one of the best in the Progressive Blog business?

And felt like, hey, we know all know Gymmy’s antics. Was hoping a discussion of the projection and hypocrisy of this hearing would break out. A better headline might have been, “Another day, another hearing where Jordan acts like an irate buffoon” or “Watch Kirschner deflate Gym’s anger balloon.”

I dunno, I’m in Texas and am subjected to consequential yellow journalism, and a near miss on a live streaming video is well, meh. Can leave the Maine out of it.

It appears that Jim Jordan found one employee, Marcus Allen, who may have been mistreated by the FBI (he refused to get a required vaccine for “religious” reasons), and has convened this hearing to proclaim that the entire FBI discriminates against conservatives and Christians. Marcus Allen is the whistleblower. Mr. Horowitz, who leads FBI, reported that he had seen no evidence that the FBI targets any one group, and that both Republicans and Democrats have complained of bias against them. Every Democrat who spoke brought up the real threats to the country, Project 2025 and Trump, and what would happen to our institutions should Trump be in power again. No Republican mentioned it. Jim Jordan just whined and Matt Gaetz lied (yes, he actually spoke in this hearing, barf).
