John Kasich on CNN

Disappointed that Republicans did not keep the Senate. I appreciated his criticism of trump but now he can buzz off with the rest of the Republicans. Says he hopes Democrats don't go crazy, "which they are capable of". Asshat.

I'm glad the Patriots are losing

To Buffalo and are out of it. Not sure why they though Cam Newton would be functional. Ever since he failed to jump on the fumble in that Super Bowl, I've had doubts about him. He can wear his fancy hats and chew his blue gum with his mouth open as much as he wants. As long as the Pats lose.

I actually won tickets to this tour in Wilmington (at The Queen, aka Joe's Wilmington HQ) and it was great

Strange "Epoch Times" related caravan in Delaware today

I was driving near the Hagley Museum (down the road from where Kamala Harris recently stayed) and saw a bunch of State Troopers at the intersection. I figured it was Biden's motorcade going by (again) but it was actually a 20-or-so vehicle caravan of minivans and SUVs with giant signs on top saying "ENDCCP.COM" and then Chinese writing under it. A couple vehicles had "Source of the Coronavirus" under the ENDCCP.COM, instead of the Chinese writing. All the vehicles were from New York or California.

I went to the website and it had a bunch of legitimate complaints about the Chinese Communist Party mixed in with possible conspiracy theories (spying via 5g technology). The only politicians I saw noted were Scott Perry R-Florida and a big ol' picture of Ronny Raygun.

Has anyone else seen this?

Van Halen III (again)

I've completed my analysis of Van Halen III (with Gary Cherone) and I've decided that he was drastically under-appreciated and that the problem with the album they created was horrible production (it was produced by Mike Post, best known for TV show themes--such as Law & Order). I watched the whole concert that they filmed in Australia and it totally rocked---the band was sharp and Gary provided a very visible burst of energy. Fans seemed to love the tour. Gary did not have the hang-ups about singing Sammy & Dave's stuff (they apparently wouldn't or couldn't sing each others' stuff). So, free from the drama the band rocked all eras. I wish I could've seen this tour. Studio songs sounded MUCH better live (for example, Without You below--studio and live; I love this song live and would've turned the video off a few seconds in--I especially like the little Beatles deal at the end). They should've kept him and never, never, never should have thought of getting rid of Michael Anthony.

Health Care Should Help us In Rural America

Whoever replaces Alex Azar should take a team and set up shop at these types of free medical events in poor areas of the country and explain to these folks that us Democrats are trying our hardest to make sure that they and their families are able to get decent healthcare but are being stymied by their local Repukes. We let them paint us as coming to take their guns, force them to have abortions, and ending Christmas--when in reality the Repukes take them for granted and allow this squalor to continue.

The central Appalachian area that includes eastern Kentucky, southern West Virginia and western Virginia has long been one of the sickest and poorest regions in the country. More recently, it has been ravaged by the decline of coal mining.

But Virginia was among 19 states that chose not to expand Medicaid as part of the Affordable Care Act. Many states cited the cost, even though Washington pledged to pick up nearly the entire expense. An expansion in Virginia would have covered an additional 400,000 people.

Kantsos voted for Donald Trump last fall in the hope that he could shake up Washington. She said the president needs to concentrate more on his job and less on Twitter.

Sutherland supported Trump, too, and said he thinks the president deserves more time. But Sutherland, who comes to the clinic for dental work and medicine, wishes lawmakers understood how hard life can be in Appalachia. Last year, he said, he walked 30 miles (50 kilometers) to the Wise clinic because he had no car; it took more than seven hours. Others have it bad, too.

Delaware adjusts to having a President

I can attest to the significant changes during the transition period....I go to Lewes all the time but live in Wilmington, about 6 miles from his home. The main road I use on a daily basis is Rt. 141 and I've been blocked by motorcades about 3 times so far and I often see them gathering along the road, so I guess I've also had several near-misses. But I will take it!

In his eight years as vice president, Joe Biden notoriously urged his Secret Service detail to keep a distance while in Delaware not typical for the man first in line for presidential succession.

He traveled to Wilmington as much as three times a week, making life difficult for agents, according to some reports.

He may not be able to dictate those same rules now. Just weeks away from becoming the leader of the free world, it's unclear if he will have this luxury as president.

Event in Gettysburg

I'm not going to watch it, but with all the paranormal activity in the area I was thinking that it would be cool if some sort of portal to Hell opened up and a bunch of Confederate traitors reached up and pulled 45 & Rudy in. If that happens, I'll watch the highlights later in the evening

Brees kept playing with 5 broken ribs!

3 from the week before and 2 in the last game. I cannot imagine---he is one tough dude!

I broke several ribs when I fell off a ladder while painting. I finished painting, put the ladder in the basement, then sat on the couch. Eventually, the pain became unbearable and I knew something was up. By the time I got to the ER, I was a miserable wretch.

Remarkably, Brees stayed in the game for the final eight minutes of the first half Sunday after absorbing a big hit by 49ers defensive tackle Kentavius Street -- finishing one touchdown drive, then completing five passes on another TD drive. He was unable to continue in the second half, though.

A source told Werder that Brees broke two ribs on his right side during the first half of the 49ers game -- and that doctors believe those fractures may have punctured his lung, creating a pneumothorax. Doctors also discovered three fractured ribs on Brees' left side, which are believed to have occurred a week earlier in a 38-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
