Why are there sooooo many bad coaches right now in the NFL?

Right now, there's only one sure HOF coach in the NFL, and three very borderline ones (Sean Payton, Pete Carroll, and Andy Reid). Everyone else is just awful, with the exception of the Rams head coach who has gotten off to a good start so far.

Most NFL games are just awful to watch. Riddled with dumb mistakes and poor execution. It cannot be the talent. Talent improves over time. It's the coaching that's bad.

I'm watching Alias Grace on Netflix, and it's really good so far.

I haven't read the source material, but the acting is top notch. Superb.

The real reason why the Republicans won't take on the NRA.

Yes, campaign contributions are a major factor, but I propose that it's not the primary factor. The primary factor is that uncompromising support of guns is an easy way for Republicans to get working class White males to vote for their economic agenda which works against the economic interests of the very same working class. We see this in their anti-reproductive rights position.

The Republican economic agenda clearly favors the uber wealthy, so how do you get working class White males to support it? Be unabashedly pro-gun, anti-choice, racist, anti-LGBTQ, xenophobic, and anti-immigrant. Add these groups up, and you win major counties across the country without promising to do anything significant to improve the lives for these people.

Without these sensational headlines, would anyone consider buying Donna Brazile's book?

Ans. No, of course not.

Mueller is handling this entire investigation brilliantly. Just brilliant.

The slow pace and then sudden indictments puts a chill down some weak spines. Mueller knows that there is no upside to anyone falling on their sword for Trump. None. So, the time to make a deal is now. The time to turn in evidence is now. The time to talk to avoid jail is now. Make the deal. Hand over your documents. Wear the wire. Do what you gotta do to get out of this.

My guess is that after the Republican tax plan either succeeds or fails, the rationale to be on Trump's good side will be gone, and the birds will start singing.

The solution to the Democrats' problem(s) is clear.

New leadership is needed. New candidates are needed. Sweep out the old and bring in the new. Everyone needs to go now. The public is exasperated with the current leaders of the party, and we need new ones. Everyone remotely tied to the 2016 campaign needs to take a step back out of the spotlight, and let new people emerge.

2016 is done and over. Stop re-fighting it.
