Donald Trump Says He Met The Prince Of Whales
BY : CHARLIE COCKSEDGE ON : 13 JUN 2019 15:04

Another day, another fantastic tweet from the president of the United States.

The Donald is known for his freewheeling style on Twitter, managing to send out little bursts of thought into the social media sphere no matter where he is, like calling Sadiq Khan a ‘stone-cold loser’ or claiming the moon is ‘a part of Mars‘.

After his recent trip to the UK to meet with the royal family, the government and whoever else was contractually obliged to be in his presence, Trump tweeted a message which to seemed to brag about all the high-profile peeps he meets and what they talk about

Care vs kill

It all boils down to : Should we take care of "them" or Should we just kill them?

In ANY society you will find:

people who seem to enjoy work, and who willingly look for more to do as they finish tasks

people who work because they fear reprisal if they do not, and who do as little as necessary

people who seem capable, but whose personal reasons prevent them from doing much work

young who cannot work (and should not be expected to)

very old who cannot work (and should not be expected to)

handicapped who cannot do much or any work

Regardless of the category, these people ARE in our society. They all have the same basic needs...food.... shelter.... water.... companionship... education...health care... a decent life

We ALL need to realize that these people, in varying percentages, have always been with us, and always will be.

The only variable is in how we "deal" with them.

We can grow up, and figure out that "some" people will need always need assistance, and yes, occasionally a person/ people "might" take more than some think they should, or may be seen as totally "undeserving" of any help.

Or we accept the fact that we (as a society) have no use for these people, and we might as well "get rid of 'them' altogether." Some might say we are already wandering down that path to some degree. We lock up millions of people who turned to crime. We warehouse old sick people in places we would never want to be.. We accept the malnourishment of poor children we will never meet. We under-educate millions of children.

We have the "don't-give-a-crap" part down pat.. Now we are just dithering over how it will play out.

At the core, Democrats are traditionally helpers, and Republicans are not. It's simple.

Brother Dean got hit with a baseball bat

Preacher Carrying ‘You Deserve To Be Raped’ Sign Gets Hit With A Baseball Bat And The Comments Are Priceless

Social Issues

How far is too far when it comes to stopping someone spreading hate speech? Hitting them over the head with a baseball bat, apparently. Controversial street preacher Brother Dean Saxton spends his days denouncing homosexuality and holding signs telling women they deserve rape for not being true Christians. A while ago, Brother Dean posted a YouTube video of his demonstration at Apollo High School. There, he used a megaphone to tell students they’re going to hell. A couple of minutes into the video, you can hear him being hit from behind. Brother Dean was able to walk away but he was bleeding from a gash on his head.

EU elections..28 countries have 751 elected

True, their overall population is larger than the US, but I think we certainly need more than the 535 we are currently restricted to.

Our founders wanted each representative to have only 30K as their electorate.

To be effective with our majority, we must think like republicans

I know people are always saying things like "we must be ABOVE their tactics" etc, BUT, people who vote democratic are asking for things to be DONE!

When we do get a majority and we patiently, and deliberatively try to do things, only to be met with "NO!" as a push-back, we render ourselves ineffective, and the next election, people are not as eager to put themselves out there for us.

In my perfect world, the paperwork is done and waiting to be submitted to NY the SECOND after Cuomo signs the tax release bill into law. Get them delivered BEFORE Trumpie et al files their legal resistance. Make their request moot.

Republicans do this all the time. I remember a while back SCOTUS sent down a ruling about something, and INSTANTLY (within minutes) several states "updated" their laws...done and done..

That's how they win..

We tend to always be ready to talk about what we plan to do ad nauseum, giving them plenty of time to prepare.

I seriously doubt that Eisenhower told the Nazis every detail of their war plans. Coaches carefully guard their game plans. We seem to be experts at preparing to do things, and then wringing our hands later because we are stopped.

Be ready and pounce before they can react..

Loose lips sink ships.. STFU and DO things...then justify them.

On DAY ONE of our majority, Nancy should have said "We are opening up an impeachment "INQUIRY". We may NOT impeach, but we need to get answers and we are not going to wait for the Mueller report.

They could have easily subpoenaed witnesses they knew had already testified, and grand jury stuff..and certainly would have caught Trumpie flatfooted.

A Chicago woman lured a pregnant 19-year-old mother into her home and distracted her with a photo album before strangling her and cutting out her unborn baby, court documents show.

Suspects Clarisa Figueroa, 46, and her daughter, Desiree Figueroa, 24, were charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery in the attack that happened on April 23, Chicago police said.
The mother and daughter were arrested this week after investigators found the teen's body in a trash can at the elder Figueroa's home, police said.

Teen Puts QR Code On Her Graduation Cap That Opens Up A List Of School Shooting Victims When You Try To Photograph It

It has been an ongoing debate across the USA whether or not gun laws should be restricted. Students have raised their support for the March For Our Lives movement that aims to prevent gun violence in the country. It’s no surprise that people are trying their best to protect young and innocent children who aren’t even safe in their own school – a place where they should grow and improve has become a danger zone where nobody is safe.

Since it seems that the government is willing to protect “gun rights” instead of human lives, people have taken matters into their own hands by finding unique ways to talk about the problem.

Fearless Leader built his wall

A Tariff Wall between US & China...and Walmart Shoppers will pay for it..

Proceeds from tariffs (paid for by mostly poor folks) will be used for buying votes from disgruntled MAGA farmers..

Republicans understand small thinking.. this should be our mantra..It's something they can understand..

Germany Opens First Electric Highway For Trucks

Germany Opens First Electric Highway For Trucks
BY : CHARLIE COCKSEDGE
https://www.unilad.co.uk/technology/germany-opens-first-electric-highway-for-trucks/?source=facebook

When Eddie Grant sang ‘We’re gonna rock down to Electric Avenue’, in his seminal 1982 tune Electric Avenue, who’d have thought that one day we’d have actual electric highways.

Eddie will be pleased to hear, then, that Germany is introducing electric highways for trucks, allowing HGVs to draw power from overhead cables, reducing their diesel and petrol use, and therefore reducing their CO2 output, helping tackle climate change along the way.

The new development is the first of its kind to be tested on public roads in Germany, where trucks with special equipment mounted to their roofs can connect to electrified lines above the autobahn, and travel at speeds of up to 90km per hour (56mph).

The new technology has been designed by Siemens, and aided by the German government, which has spent €70 million developing trucks that can use the system, according to CNN.

So far, the system runs along a 10km (6.2 mile) stretch of the autobahn between Frankfurt airport and a nearby industrial park. Two more stretches of the highway are expected to open soon.

The trucks run on electric motors when connected to the overhead power lines, and on hybrid systems when on regular roads. Sensors inside the lorries detect when they can use the overhead cables.
