How many witnesses should Democrats request?

Mick Mulvaney may know more than John Bolton about what was going inside the White House. He was up to his eyeballs in attempting to cover up the hold on military aid to Ukraine.

Shumer has asked for a couple of other witnesses from the OMB. Who else could enlighten us on what was going on in Ukraine?

William Barr? He was mentioned in Trump's phone call with Zelensky. What else does he know?

Rudy Giuliani? He was at the heart of the corruption with Lev and Igor and Firtash and Shokin. He was directing it, at the behest of Donald J Trump.

The drawback with Giuliani is that he spreads so much bullshit that it is difficult to separate from useful information. Perhaps ask him simple "Yes" or "No" questions?

However many, there should be more witnesses called than just John Bolton.

The reciprocity idea being put forth by the Republicans is a bit like trading baseball cards and not appropriate, Dick Durbin suggested on CNN this morning.

I noticed that FOX went to regular programming when near end of lawyer presentations?

They put the lawyers in a small square on the screen - with no sound and no closed caption - just taking up space.

I don't know if they were looking for ratings or were just embarrassed?

How much did Joe Biden make off the government?

<snip>
On Biden’s second claim about leaving as one of the poorest officials in government, Biden’s campaign sent us rankings from 2005, 2006 and 2007. Those rankings don’t account for the fact that Biden remained in government for another decade.

The rankings are from the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, which annually ranks the wealth of government officials including members of Congress and top officials in the executive and judicial branches.

Biden ranked near the bottom in the center’s data in the years before he became vice president: Biden ranked 570th of 585 officials in 2005; 614th of 636 officials in 2006; and 626th of 639 officials in 2007.

Because officials report their assets and liabilities on official forms as ranges, the rankings use estimates. Biden’s estimated net worth was -$47,494 in 2005; -$12,492 in 2006; and -$52,493 in 2007. In other words, it appeared that his debts outpaced his cash and other assets.

Why didn't AG Barr and the DOJ investigate the Bidens before Biden announced...?

,...that he was going to run for President?

If they were so concerned about corruption and the Biden's participation, what prevented Bill Barr from investigating?

It shows that Donald Trump and his Justice Dept were never really concerned about corruption in Ukraine, unless it was their own.

Kicking the crutches from under Trump supporters

They say Democrats are attempting to overturn an election. Sort of like they tried to overturn the election of Bill Clinton in 1998?

They say Donald Trump is doing just what he said he would do. No, that is a lie. He never told anyone he was going to do this crap.

It's time for Trump supporters to stop their lying.

Three things that cannot be long hidden

A poster says this is a fake Buddha quote? Regardless, it is still a timely quote and thanks to whomever the original author might be.

The WH lawyers knew about the manuscript...

They are guilty of covering up that information from the US Senate.

Now, they are supposed to continue to present their case against impeachment this morning.

Would anyone be surprised if their presentation is even shorter than their Saturday session?

What a slimy bunch of "legal" creatures.

This White House is so corrupt that they cannot go one week without a major revelation.

They were trying to ramrod their case thru the Senate and had already said that they were worried that the Democrats would continue to investigate after it was over.

Because the corruption is so prevalent, it is never over. There is always another crime or scandal just under the next layer.

There is not going to be a vacation where we can get away from the lies and cover-ups.

Republicans are living in a fantasy world if they think any part of this criminal network is going to disappear.

Senators will have 16 hours to ask questions of the defense and prosecution.

It has been reported that it would be with written questions.

This will take place before any votes, according to Senate rules, is my understanding?

Maybe the Republican Senators will be more attentive if they get to ask questions?
