It's not about Trump and Republicans versus Democrats

It's about Trump and Republicans versus our laws and our Constitution.

They argue that the process is not "fair".

They argue that the inquiry is not legitimate.

Trump's entire strategy is to divide the nation into Republicans versus the "do-nothing Democrats". His "team" against the Democrats.

However, it is much more important than that. It's not really about Democrats or Republicans. It is about the law and our Constitution.

"The problem is that we need some money. We need a few hundred thousand"..."

Who is "we"?

How much is a "few hundred thousand"?

This was the message that Rudy Giuliani sent accidentally by butt-call to a reporter.

Is this call a distraction or for real?

Traitor Trump

Suddenly, the name seems to fit in place like a puzzle piece. It fits very snugly.

He never really cared for America. He cares only about himself and Russia. He only cares about Russia because they make possible his lifestyle.

He is a traitor because he has betrayed our country. He has betrayed everything we stand for as a country. He has made us less in the eyes of the world.

Does that mean he has committed treason? In my opinion, yes. Although we may not be in a shooting war with Russia, it was an act of war when they attacked our election system and our sacred right to vote. Bullets are not the only way to fight a war.

When liars run out of lies...

Nothing they say sounds credible anymore.

It's like the truth finally caught up with them and grabbed them by the nape of the neck.

"Sit down!"

And for the first time in their lives, they are almost speechless.

Trump is putting all his chips on Russia.

Why did he get so pissed when the Intelligence Departments informed the people that Russia had interfered in our election? One would have thought he was trying to protect them?

Normally, the American President would have devoted the entire FBI to getting to the bottom of it. He would have put more sanctions on them and denounced it publicly. But Donald Trump did not.

Instead, he got angry. He called it a hoax and a witch hunt. He never had one unkind word for Vladimir Putin? It looked more than just a wee bit suspicious.

Everything he has done since he came into office is for the benefit of Russia. From bad-mouthing NATO and our allies and European leaders to stopping military maneuvers for our troops in South Korea, to deserting our Kurd allies in Syria, to slow-walking aid to the Ukraine military, everything has been for the benefit of Vladimir Putin.

Now, he wants his hand-pick AG to do a criminal investigation to find out the origins of the Russia investigation. As Nancy Pelosi told him to his face, "all roads with you lead to Putin".

I have never found much good to say about Mitch McConnell.

...but I think he should be commended for standing up to Donald Trump and refusing to parrot his lie. He csme straight out and said that he did not remember such a conversation as Donald Trump was talking about?

Since the impeachment articles will be sent to the Senate for a trial, in my opinion, Senator Schumer should make a non-partisan effort to work with McConnell to make the Senate trial as fair and non-partisan as possible.

One good deed deserves another. In this environment, it was no small thing the way McConnell called Trump a liar on live TV. Trump never expected such a response from a Republican.

But Schumer and McConnell need to re-assure the people that this is about our country and our Constitution, not our political Parties.

AG Barr chooses to believe someone who has told over 12,000 lies...

...over the word of our 17 intelligence agencies.

He is in the process of making a decision that history will record as one of the most politically sycophantic decisions in American history.

The timing is very suspicious. He appears to be starting a criminal investigation just to please his president.

Most Americans saw Russia involved with Donald Trump much too cozily before the 2016 election. No one should have been surprised that a counter-intel investigation was begun. They would not have been doing their jobs if they had ignored it.

What did Barr see?

Seven "traitors" in the Senate?

The Chameleon of the Senate, Lindsey Graham, put forth a resolution yesterday, to de-legitimize the impeachment process going on in the House. Not yet known is whether he was persuaded to do so by Donald Trump? After all, it would be good to know where you stand if a vote is called for in the Senate.

He lost seven votes on his resolution. That means if there was a vote today, the vote might be 54-46 to convict? That would not be enough to remove him from the White House but it would probably remove most of the calls for "exoneration". Trump needs almost all Republicans to vote for him. Otherwise, he will appear guilty, even if they do not get the 67 votes needed to remove.

If other Senators decide to join the seven "traitors", then the White House would begin to get very nervous.

This may be the direction we are headed?

Two possible reasons Barr has opened a criminal investigation on the Russian scandal?

He may see the writing on the wall?

He may have been told by Donald Trump to do it to slow down the impeachment process? This is a possible scenario since he seems to have a lip-lock on Trump's ass.

Or he may see the direction it is going and he has reason to believe that indeed, Russia was involved? With the recent revelations about Giuliani and his "associates" and other testimony from reliable witnesses, he may have concluded that he has no choice but to attempt to be on the right side of history? After all, how would it look if the truth comes out and he is standing there with his hands covering his eyes?

Whether he has chosen to continue to cover for Donald Trump or to pursue a more independent investigation is still to be seen?

Not only should AG Bill Barr recuse himself....

....He should also be subpoenaed to appear before the Intel Committee and explain why his name came up four or five times in the transcript with the Ukrainian president?

Not only that, he should answer how many times he had been contacted about this matter?

He should be in charge of no investigations at this time.

And what is his investigation predicated upon? How many witnesses does he have?

He should recuse himself immediately.
