Republicans in Washington are hugely out of touch with the American people.

A case in point is the number of Americans that agree with the way Joe Biden is handling the Covid crisis. The latest poll shows that 68% of the American people agree with the job he is doing.

But, in Washington, one is hard-pressed to find 4% of Republicans that agree with his handling of the Covid crisis. It would only take two Republican Senators to equal 4% of the Senate, but they are no where to be found? They are out of touch with the American people.

President Biden and VP Harris seem to understand this very well. They are leaving Washington at every opportunity to talk with the American people, including Republicans. Washington is simply not reflective of America at this time.

Jon Meacham just made an excellent point on Nicolle Wallace's show.

He said, "There is only one way to fight the lies and that is with the truth."

There is no other alternative.

Senators like Hawley, Cruz, and Johnson are like prisoners on death row...

...They continue to profess their innocence right up til the very end.

Never mind that there are tapes and videos of them committing their crimes.

It wasn't them. It was someone else.

Would they lie?

It is some really rich hypocrisy to watch Republicans criticize Neera Tanden for her "tweets" !

After what they endured for four years with their Leader, Donald Trump.

They crept around in fear that he would say something bad about them and cause them to be challenged in a primary. But, they persisted.

There was no one that was exempt from the criticism of the Republican flag hugger, not even the Pope. His supporters exercised little restraint in what they said over Twitter, either. They were Twitter fanatics.

And now, they are clutching their pearls over some "political comments" that Neera Tanden made? I suppose "free speech" is for me, but not for thee?

It is truly rich.

A pocket watch on a chain, swinging back and forth....

In a seemingly hypnotic trance, Mike Pence and the Republicans focus intently on the watch as it swings back and forth.

"You will forget what happened on January 6th. It was an act by a few bad apples. Donald Trump is still the leader of your Party. It was not an insurrection or an attempted coup, it was a riot by a few very angry patriots. You will say nothing negative about your Party or your Leaders. The Democrats and the fake media are your enemies. Do not believe what you saw with your own eyes. Believe what we tell you...Now, go out and spread the word."

Republican inquisitors seem to be overly concerned about FISA and investigations?

Wonder why?

They would be much happier if Merrick Garland simply said that Donald Trump was acquitted in his impeachment trial and there is really nothing else to investigate. We should put all of this behind us and move forward.

Is that the response they are looking for?

They almost sound like accomplices ....

Trump did not wait long to make his move to completely take over the Republican Party..

He is scheduled to be the star speaker at next Sunday's CPAC Convention.

When he gets his standing ovation from the dominant crowd of conservatives at the CPAC Convention, the hostile takeover will be complete.

One wonders what Mitch McConnell and some of the other delusional Republicans think about them being kicked under the bus so quickly, after they voted to not convict him in his impeachment trial, or even to prohibit him from running again? They must see that they screwed up big time? Especially those that were thinking of running for the Presidency themselves?

Even the flies on the wall are whispering to each other.

But, it is all a sham. It is a quixotic dream of a power-mad narcissist and is doomed to failure. It will not protect him from what is coming down the road. And it certainly will not protect the Republican Party or CPAC.

It is rather entertaining to watch this slow-motion destruction of Republican hypocrites.

It is sickening....the more I think about it...

The attack upon our Capitol was the most unpatriotic and un-American act in our lifetimes by American citizens.

And Donald Trump thinks people are just going to forget about it and he can run for President again in 2024?

I don't think so!

25 "Prophets" have spoken...

God spoke to them. They were so sure it was God that they went on television to declare their prophesy. Donald Trump was sent by God, they were certain.

But if God is all-powerful, they were wrong. Satan did not win. God won. They were wrong.

Now, they are waiting for Donald Trump to return to the Presidency on March 4th. God has been talking to them again.

The truth is that they have been shown to be "false prophets" and have been ridiculed in the eyes of the world.
