kentuck's JournalIf Republicans left their Party, would there be room in the Democratic Party for them?
Or is the Democratic Party's tent only large enough for progressive and liberal members?
Could someone like Mitt Romney or Liz Cheney fit into the Democratic Party?
Is there room in the Democratic Party for conservatives? (There was a time when a good percentage of the Democratic Party called themselves conservatives)
This is just for discussion. No one would ever expect Romney or Cheney to join the Democratic Party. The only thing worse than Trump, in their minds, are Democrats.
But there may be Republicans somewhere that are thinking of joining the Democrats?
Would they be welcome?
Don't judge them by their words - judge them by their actions.
The ease with which they lie shows us their amorality and their immorality.
They show they are cowards by their inability to stand up to a bully.
They are greedy for power.
They are deceitful, in that they believe they can deceive all their base voters into believing their lies.
They are unpatriotic, in that they put their personal interests over the interests of the country.
They are hypocrites of the highest order.
We know who they are. We know the type of people they are. The people that know them and still vote for them are low-lifes. They are peas in a pod.
It is unfortunate that people so immoral and lacking in character are destroying our democracy.
The MASK - the symbol of reality.
Some people have a very hard time with accepting a mask. It does not correlate with their reality.
Some get very angry and lash out at the masks.
Everywhere they go, they see people with masks. Don't they know the COVID is a hoax?
It's much like the results of the election last November. Don't they know that the election was fixed? Don't they know that Trump won in a landslide?
Then, they have to listen to everybody talking about the "Big Lie".
And that makes them angry too.
Long As I Can See The Light
If FOX News were to report that the election was not stolen, it would change our country.
But, they keep holding that carrot out in front of their viewers and refuse to tell them the truth.
Perhaps they believe the election was stolen? They are a big part of the cult, more than they are a "news" organization. They mostly regurgitate the "grievances" of the day.
But, they stay away from some news stories as if they were a hot stove. They would not want to do anything to harm "their" Party, it seems? There are few stories about the insurrection of January 6th, for example.
Perhaps moreso than any politician or organization, they are preventing our country from moving forward. They are a roadblock to our democracy.
America needs to understand the negative influence this foreign-owned company has upon our politics and our future.
================
The truth is too dangerous to tell ?
Some people are too afraid to speak it. Some are too afraid to even think it.
It is so much easier to simply ignore. Especially for those in positions to do something about it.
What is the truth about January 6th? Were all those people that have been arrested independent actors? What is the truth about sedition and incitement to insurrection? Where do the charges stop? Can we get a mulligan on this one?
What is the truth about Russian interference in our elections of 2016 and 2020? Can we really handle the truth? Who, besides Paul Manafort, was in collusion with Russian intelligence? And why? Do we really want to know?
Do we really want to know about all the money-laundering? How many politicians have money in off-shore accounts? Can we just sweep this question under the rug?
How much money was stolen from the US Treasury in the last 4 years? Do we even have an idea? Did Mnuchin ever account for the $400 billion he had set aside? Does anyone care?
How about all the bribes and threats and obstructions of justice? Are those no longer crimes? How about threatening elected officials to find votes or else? Is that even worth bringing up?
Are there lines that our Justice Department are afraid to cross? Or are all these imagined crimes just figments of our imagination?
Do true Republicans have the backbone to fight for their Party?
And for their country?
And for their democracy?
Does the Party in Washington truly represent the Republicans throughout the country? That is the question.
Do Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney better represent the Republicans at large in this country?
Do they believe their Party is worth fighting for?
Would they challenge Trump and his hand-picked VP for the nomination in 2024?
Will they stand up now and speak out against the un-American and unpatriotic actions of their Party in Washington?
Or will they simply surrender to the forces now attacking them?
It's not who votes - it's who counts the votes.
Did Stalin really say that?
Whomever, we are seeing that axiom being put into practice in Arizona at this time.
This is a very dangerous proposition for a democracy.
"I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is thiswho will count the votes, and how."
said in 1923; Boris Bazhanov The Memoirs of Stalin's Former Secretary

Let It Be
CNN reports that 70% of Republicans do not believe Biden won the election.
70% !
That is some effective propaganda, right there!
Even though Biden won the popular vote by over 7 million votes, they do not think it was possible for him to win the Electoral College vote.
Why do 70% believe that Biden did not win?
FOX and right-wing media, primarily.
Where facts do not matter, democracy does not matter, elections do not matter.
The only thing that matters is power.
