Try this on for size...

Pelosi should put together 2 schedules: one for legislation...a list of legislation the House is going to propose and a timeline, and another list of investigations into Trump. She should keep a scorecard of what legislation is passed by the House but voted down or stalled by the Senate and she should report to the public regularly on this. She should provide the public with regular reports on the progress/finding of the investigations.

She should tell the American people that the best verdict on Trump is the 2020 election and if he wins, he will likely be impeached early into his second term. If he loses, he will likely be indicted as he leaves the WH.

This might discourage Trump-leaning voters from voting for him or voting at all. It would keep the spotlight on Trump's criminality and also keep the emphasis on the Dems' legislative efforts and the intransience of the Senate republicans.

Thoughts?

I cancelled my Facebook account today.

The reason I did it is because I was outraged that they took down Elizabeth Warren's post about them but left up the fake videos of Nancy Pelosi. I guess that I just got to the point where I had had enough of this bullshit It is not easy to cancel Facebook and I got some help from the good folks in the DU Lounge to do it. What I did not realize is that the only way to access anyone else's Facebook page is if you, yourself, have an account. Somehow or another, I thought Facebook was open to everyone. Silly me. So now, I can't follow any of my friends or family on Facebook. It's like being banished.

I think Facebook has become a sewer. I think we could find better ways to communicate with each other. Facebook is dangerous, and addictive, like opioids. It will be hard to quit it.

How do I cancel/delete my Facebook account?

Facebook's refusal to take down the distorted videos of Nancy Pelosi is enough for me. I seldom use my own Facebook account so I have no idea how to get rid of it. Can someone tell me what to do>

I want to be just like Nancy Pelosi when I grow up!

I'm 73...I think I'm running out of time.

I think the Speaker has a psychiatrist on staff or on call.

Trump's behavior is like watching a mirror shattering in slow motion. I am guessing that NP is consulting with a behavioral expert before she makes a move with Trump. It seems to be working but it's painful and scary to watch.

What the Trump base is thinking these days:

"He's going to take care of me after he takes care of himself, his family, his friends and the rich people. I just have to have faith and wait a little longer."

The Speaker: "Will you come into my parlor said the spider to the fly."

"....The Spider turn'd her round again, and went into her den,
For well she knew that cunning Fly would soon come back again.
And then she wove a tiny web, in a little corner sly,
And set her table ready for to dine upon the Fly;
And went out to her door again, and merrily did sing,
Come hither, pretty little Fly, with the gold and silver wing.

Alas, alas! how very soon this cunning little Fly,
Hearing her wily flattering words, came slowly fluttering by.
With humming wings he hung aloft, then nearer and nearer drew.
Thinking only of his crested head and gold and purple hue:
Thinking only of his brilliant wings, poor foolish thing! at last,
Up jump'd the hungry little Spider, and firmly held him fast!
She dragged him up her winding stair, into her dismal den,
Within her little parlour; but he ne'er came down again.
And now, my pretty maidens, who may this story hear,
To silly, idle, flattering words, I pray you ne'er give ear;
Unto a beatiful lady, close heart, and ear, and eye,
And learn a lesson from this tale of the Spider and the Fly."

Ad on MSNBC

Have other people seen the ad on MSNBC with the elevator music that comes on about 10 times an hour? It's driving me nuts!

Has he promised each Republican senator a high place in his dictatorship or

just some of them and the rest he's threatened to execute in LaFayette Square?

I think more people would support impeachment IF

Congress proposed serious legislation at the same time dealing infrastructure, health, wages, education, immigration and other issues that people really care about. The people I talk to who are not liberals by any stretch of the imagination, acknowledge that Trump is a crook and has committed crimes against this country but they are worried about their own futures and the futures of their children. All they see and read about in the news is Trump, Trump, Trump. I think there would be a major change in attitude if Democrats in Congress began proposing legislation that directly affects their lives. I also think that Trump would not know how to handle that.

Pelosi and others keep talking about the fact that they can walk and chew gum at the same time. Let's see some of that. Let's knock Trump off the front page and get people engaged in things that will touch their lives.

I know some will say that taking this approach is hopeless because Trump and the Republicans won't go along but I think that's exactly the point. Show them up, don't just talk about it, do it!
