Funny story - Thanksgiving at my folks today.

My daughter has been curious about what happened to the pet lamb my brother and I had as kids. I couldn't remember.

We went on a vacation and when we got home - no more lamb. I was about 3, my brother 5. The true story is that my father had some friends take it to a slaughterhouse.

At the time the story ALL the adults involved could come up with to tell us, the children, was....that it was attacked and killed by a pack of dogs. That’s what they told us. That’s what they came up with.

Great Thanksgiving dinner today. Thanks Mom.

"Radicalized" is word I've seldom heard used ....lately

Not meant to trick you into another Rittenhouse thread but here we are.

This kid was radicalized. In another other situation that’s the word we would have heard over and over.

How he was radicalized I’m curious about but I’m not expecting an answer.

Of the five people in that short video clip in the middle of the street, two had guns and brandished them. That, I know the answer to.

$$$ talks - Dr. Jo-Ellan Dimitrius jury consultant to the stars (OJ) was on Rittenhouse team

Kyle Rittenhouse trial: Defense team's famed jury consultant boasts past clients OJ Simpson, Kobe Bryant

KENOSHA, Wis. – One of the many faces seen in the background of the ongoing Kyle Rittenhouse trial was someone who is no stranger to packed courtrooms and high-profile cases: longtime jury consultant Dr. Jo-Ellan Dimitrius.

But Dimitrius is much more than just someone tending to the upset mother of a defendant. She’s working as a jury consultant hired by Rittenhouse’s legal team for her decades of knowledge and expertise in reading people and situations.

Dimitrius, who has written three books, was a part of the defense team that helped acquit O.J. Simpson of charges in the 1994 murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman.

She has also worked on trial teams for other big names, such as Scott Peterson, Kobe Bryant and Francis Ford Coppola in his lawsuit against Warner Brothers Studio over a "Pinocchio" film project.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez "I did" 👍😆😁

"Just a few weeks ago, Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger said, ‘Nobody elected Joe Biden to be FDR,’" House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said in a blustering speech against Biden's Build Back Better legislation on Thursday.

Right at that moment, a female voice shouted out, "I did."

Haley Talbott, Capitol Hill producer and reporter with NBC News and MSNBC, identified the female voice as that of Ocasio-Cortez.

NBC News National Political Reporter Sahil Kapur retweeted Talbot and included a video of the incident. Ocasio-Cortez retweeted Kapur.

NFL to intensify (team) COVID-19 protocols around Thanksgiving holiday

With Thanksgiving approaching and COVID-19 cases rising again nationwide, the NFL on Tuesday night issued a memo to its teams detailing changes to its COVID-19 protocols, including mandatory testing for all players and staff the Monday and Wednesday after the holiday and mandatory mask-wearing for all players and staff while inside club facilities from Nov. 25 through Dec. 1.

Effective Nov. 29, all NFL teams will be required to have video cameras installed in their weight rooms and cafeterias, including weight rooms that are outdoors or in practice bubbles. Teams must retain video from those cameras for 30 days in case the league requests to view it for the purpose of finding out whether people are following mask requirements at team facilities.

NFL chief medical officer Dr. Allen Sills said that 81 players and staff members tested positive for COVID-19 during the latest testing period, Oct. 31-Nov. 13, the highest caseload of the season. From Sept. 5 through Oct. 30, a total of 97 players and staff members tested positive, and the surge that followed sparked the decision to elevate testing and masking policies.

All Tier 1 and Tier 2 individuals, regardless of vaccination status, will be Mesa [rapid PCR] tested on Monday, Nov. 29, and Wednesday, Dec. 1. Under the current protocols, unvaccinated players must be tested every day and wait for their test results to come back negative before they are allowed to enter the building, while vaccinated players and staff are tested once a week and do not have to wait for their results before entering. For the week after Thanksgiving, vaccinated individuals will be tested on Monday and Wednesday.
