Chants of "Nazis Out" could be heard in stadiums across Germany over the weekend as supporters held a minute's silence for the victims of the Hanau terror attack.
On Wednesday, a 43-year-old German opened fire and nine killed people in a shisha bar within the city's Muslim community and later at another location. The man was subsequently found dead at his home next to the body of his mother.
German football paid homage to the victims and anti-Nazi chanting could be heard at several top-tier stadiums, including Werder Bremen's Weserstadion and Hertha Berlin's Olympiastadion.
A banner made by Bayern Munich supporters and held aloft before their 3-2 victory over Paderborn on Friday read: "Nazis are murdering and all of us watch. That's the German core culture."

The wife of conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is spearheading an effort to remove officials suspected of undermining President Trump.
A network of conservative activists led by Ginni Thomas is helping compile detailed memos of disloyal government officials they want fired, according to more than a dozen sources who spoke with Axios.
The memos, compiled over the last 18 months, also included suggestions of pro-Trump people to replace the current officials. Thomas recommended former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino for a Homeland Security or counterterrorism adviser role, Sheriff David Clarke for a top Homeland Security role, and Republican California Rep. Devin Nunes's aide Derek Harvey for the National Security Council.
The presidential personnel office determined that some of the potential candidates passed along were not suitable for the jobs.

I rarely post in this forum but here's my 2¢.
Like it or not, Bernie's performance in Iowa and NH fueled much of what happened in Nevada. Ground game and other elements of a good campaign sure but "earned media" as they call it goes a long way.
I'm sorry I don't think Bernie plays well across the country for the general. They have already branded him as "Socialist" and that isn't going away. "Trust" was their point on Hillary and, aside from the media and other elements, it worked. Despite the reality of our social and economic system people are thoroughly conditioned to hate Socialism.
Regardless of who the nominee is I will work my ass for them but this is going to be a hard sell. We will have to spend resources just bringing some portions of people that should be in our back pocket back into the fold. The Bernie boat will always have a head wind against it.
Bernie's people are highly motivated and relentless. I'll give them that. At this point we have a real risk of them bailing if he doesn't get the nomination AND we HAVE to have a woman of color on the ticket or we can kiss the turnout we need goodbye. It's all or nothing with Bernie. The nomination or nothing. If he's cast off we could very easily lose ballast.

Donald Trump's Beverly Hills fundraiser guests -- at least some of them -- say they are totally grossed out by the fact appetizers from the function were left sitting out by a toilet.
TMZ broke the story .... hors d'oeuvres from Trump's campaign fundraiser at The Montage this week ended up in a small bathroom, stashed between the john and a bathtub. Yuck!!!
Guests who attended the fundraiser tell TMZ ... it's disgusting the swanky hotel would store food in a bathroom, especially considering the fact some of those in attendance plunked down six figures to dine with the President.
What's not clear ... what was food doing in the bathroom? You see some appetizer trays that appear to have already been passed around, so the leftovers could have simply been stored in the bathroom. But check out the food warmer. You see the light on, which means the oven is on, and you see trays of untouched empanadas and other hors d'oeuvres. We have repeatedly called the hotel for days, trying to find out if this was the staging area. So far, no response
