Interesting is watching two big organizations and how they are dealing with keeping about 80 young men with a lot of money healthy*. The whole organization too.
The head coach for the Chargers Anthony Lynn had a great observation and focus “We have two opponents every week. The other team and the virus. Whoever deals with the virus the best will end up with the trophy at the end of the year.”
Several of the players had had testing done early on apparently. They made comments about “jamming me in the brain” with the swab. One of the women testing said, “it’s changed since then”.
The Rams coach Sean McVay grew up in the Niners organization and his wife is NOT used to him being around this much. Pretty funny bit about how he’s coaching the dog in the pool “Pretty soon I think he’ll have it throwing the ball”.
A big event tent was set up for the Rams. Two weight rooms - weights have been incredibly hard to find in this pandemic - with a team of people cleaning everything all the time.

*they sort of touched on a subject that isn’t getting a lot of attention - sex. Two players were talking and one said that if they caught it they’d have to be quarantined for at least ten days. If they broke quarantine they could get cut and ....be adrift in the free agent market. They other paused and said “TEN DAYS???” I took their conversation to be as much about sex as anything else. These are young fit rich guys who probably date pretty well as they used to say.

Inside the MGM Grand Conference Center a half-hour before Friday's weigh-in for his fight against Steven Nelson, Ware jumped into action when Pete Susens, a coordinator with Top Rank, suffered a suspected heart attack. Ware administered chest compressions and worked with the Nevada State Athletic Commission's onsite doctor as they waited for additional help to arrive.
Susens was taken to a local hospital and is now responsive and communicating, according to Top Rank media relations director Evan Korn.
Ware, 32, is married with three children and has boxed professionally for five years while being a full-time firefighter. He also played college football at the University of Toledo, primarily on special teams.

The GoFundMe page set up for San Francisco hair salon owner Erica Kious amid the controversy with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has raised $132,000 as of Friday.
The fundraising page for Kious said it was created just a day ago. Its goal is set at $300,000.
“Erica Kious, a single mother of two and owner of eSalon, where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi got her hair done on Monday, is now being forced to shut down and relocate her business and family due to outrage and threats she is receiving,” the page states, adding that “ALL donations will go directly to Erica to pay off any debts from the business that she is forced to shut down, expenses to relocate and reopen in a new location.”

Yes, the word "jabroni" is now officially in the dictionary. Though, to be fair, The Iron Sheik deserves credit for it.
Dictionary.com released its September update on Tuesday, which would up being its biggest ever. Jabroni was among 650 words officially added. Words like "amirite," "ish," and "janky" joined it as new entrants.
The Iron Sheik initially came up with the word and used it frequently, but The Rock popularized it during the late 90s and early 2000s by saying it during WWE broadcasts. The Rock paid tribute to The Iron Sheik in the 2014 movie The Sheik and discussed his use of the word while taking no credit for it:

The owner of a California salon Nancy Pelosi went to this week spoke out to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Wednesday night.
Fox broke the news of Pelosi’s visit to the salon Monday, and owner Erica Kious said, “It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work.” <——- uh. WHAT?
Kious told Carlson it wasn’t a set-up, saying, “I’ve had a camera system in there for five years. I mean, I didn’t go in there and turn cameras on as soon as she walked in and set her up. So that is absolutely false.” <——— the cameras aren’t the point. YOU OPENED it for her. Anyone else?
Carlson asked, “How do you feel about seeing the most powerful woman in America come into your salon in violation of the rules she supports, get caught and then blame you for it?”
“To be honest, it was more hurtful,” Kious said. “She’s been coming in for quite a while, and just to see her coming and especially not wearing a mask — that’s really got to me — but this isn’t even political. She’s been coming in there. It’s the fact that she actually came in didn’t have a mask on, and I just thought about my staff and people not being able to work and make money and provide for their families, and if she’s in there comfortably without a mask and feeling safe, then why are we shut down? Why am I not able to have clients come in? So it’s been hard.” ——- so you we’re closed but at least Nancy was still coming in but your people can’t work. WHAAAAT?
