"'Hello, Abigail, it's President Roosevelt.' 😆👍😁👍🇺🇸

After Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger told the New York Times that "nobody elected [President Biden] to be FDR," after Democrats lost the legislature and the governor's race in November, and some blamed Democratic lawmakers, the Virginia Democrat received an unexpected phone call while she was on the House floor voting.

"I go into the cloakroom, and they say, 'the president and the White House are trying to get a hold of you.' And I thought they were kidding. They were not kidding," Spanberger told CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett in this week's episode of "The Takeout" podcast.

"'Hello, Abigail, it's President Roosevelt.' And I wanted to crawl under the table," Spanberger recalled. "And I said, 'Hello, Mr. President,' and he starts laughing and says, 'Oh, I'm glad you have a good sense of humor, Abigail,' to which I could barely contain myself and said, I'm glad you have a good sense of humor, Mr. President."

Happy Thanksgiving from Empty Greene's Georgia

Visiting the in-laws who moved here. Mom is cooking the Thanksgiving dinner in the tiny visitor’s apartment kitchen.

But we forgot a meat thermometer so I had to run to Kroger. Packed. Walmart is closed. Line out in to the main drag at Bojangles- only place open and probably people picking up fried turkeys. Oh and the liquor store beside Kroger was open at 9 AM - not used to that in Virginia.

Watching Jill Biden on the Cooking channel with Trisha Yearwood and Whitehouse chefs.

10 hour trip down thanks to an hour delay in Knoxville.

New Orleans Saints, Taysom Hill agree to four-year deal ($40M - could be $95M)

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32692297/new-orleans-saints-taysom-hill-agree-four-year-deal-pays-according-position-sources-say

Sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Hill's new deal will pay him $40 million over the next four years if he remains in his current role in which he serves as backup quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end, as well as being a special teams ace. However, the deal can be worth up to $95 million if Hill becomes the Saints' starting quarterback over the next four years.

The deal includes $22.5 million in guarantees. Hill, 31, was scheduled to become a free agent after this season after he signed a two-year, $21 million extension with the Saints in 2020.

New Orleans will be facing severe salary-cap constraints again next offseason, which will force the team to part ways with some key players for the second straight year -- and could limit how much the team is able to spend on a starting quarterback. Winston is also scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent as he recovers from the torn ACL he suffered in Week 8.

Hill has had a quiet season so far. He is 7-of-8 passing for 56 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. He has run the ball 20 times for 104 yards and three TDs. And he has four catches for 52 yards.
