And he’s systematically breaking and destroying everything you depend upon.

Nobody bothered to stop and think about what happens AFTER you “blow it all up” and/or “burn it all down”.

What happens after that is - YOU still have to live in the ashes and the rubble that your fever dreams wanted so badly, and created. You didn’t just hurt those “damn libruls.” You hurt yourselves.

And, seems to me, this kind of reorientation also has to go hand-in-hand with

more population control. Or management. Or smart limitation. Or whatever you want to call it.

It was rather shattering to read in this Guardian article, above, that there are almost 8-billion people on the earth!

I can remember when it was six billion. Our planet cannot sustain this many people and how fast we’re multiplying! Shit - doubling the human population in the last 50 years - that’s just in my lifetime. O. M. G.

Here’s the massively sobering fact/truth/new reality: We are going to have to take a serious look at family size. Specifically limiting family size. Like it or not.

I have a meeting today with a gardening specialist regarding habitat-friendly gardening, from one of the local foundations. MOST interesting! Can’t wait! Before we moved, our garden qualified as a habitat - with features including availability of food, a water source, shelter, and nest-making components. Eager to find out what to do and what more can be planted in this new area and climate where we live now.

This is SOOOOO important!

I had to write that ask last weekend. We divvy 'em up before we start writing.

In our Indivisible group, our Research & Writing team gets together every weekend to write up the next Call to Action email. We figure out what the asks are and who writes ‘em. I usually get the impeachment ask.

I started adjusting the messaging this time as far as what we want to ask our Congressmen and Senators - fortunately all Democrats. Instead of merely “time to twist arms with your GOP friends”, I’m going deeper. And harder. And more pointed. “Ask them - ‘what does your conscience tell you to do?’ And ‘what does your oath of office tell you to do?’”

Make ‘em squirm.

Or as former farmer and hog castrater/sadist Joni Ernst said in her campaign commercials to win her Iowa Senate seat six years ago, “make ‘em squeal!”

Shit - I remember covering some low-level event where, at the end a bunch of us were outside just chit-chatting. And - SHIT! There she was, just hanging out and schmoozing. “Oh Jorma!” She chuckled after longtime pal and bandmate Jorma Kaukonen had earlier said something goofy. And I noticed the low-heeled boots she was wearing and realized - “OMG! I have the same boots!” Just in a different color. Hers were white. Mine were red. Same style, though. Cool little moment that was. We were just being gossipy girls out there.
