About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

I would hope he understands by now - they'll care only as long as the ratings are good.

Needed this today! So uplifting and brightening!

And YAY for the dog - RESCUED!!!!!!!

Aha, doing what billo did, gonna call "Fox Security" on you!!!!

Yeah, that'll fix it...

And btw, WTF are you doing over there on that toxic spew channel? You don't know that THIS is what you get when you stop your dancing bear routine for their pleasure and entertainment?

The comments are interesting, too. Almost every one of them says, in one form or other,

"I miss Keith Olbermann" or "Wish he was back on MSNBC" or some such. Almost every one of them.

I miss him too. We need his voice and his outrage.

GREAT post. Four lines of copy sum it all up.

That's totally correct. The 60s - a time I appreciate greatly and remember fondly, having lived in it - are reviled years to the CON mentality. That's when much of America loudly and vocally broke away from the whole Donna Reed thing and shook off Ozzie and Harriet, too. Because it WASN'T the real America for everyone. And because there were just a few too many injustices that could no longer be swept under a nice tidy white throw-rug.

Oh MAN this thread's a keeper!

So many magnificent tweets!

I've been wondering when the Statue of Liberty would be brought into the discussion! Especially that inscription on her pedestal.

Oh my my now the GOP has to condemn the Statue of Liberty, 'eh? Please proceed, assholes! Gee, teabaggers, I'm surprised you haven't tried to tear her down yet.

Hey sweetie! sheshe2, that is!

We'll be angry and beautiful together! And bring Cha in on that, too!

Replied to my own thread... D'OH!

Could well be true. Certainly makes sense. What does he have to lose at this point?

I'm listening to this Brit guy on Al Sharpton's show claim that "well, we just don't know." The subject was whether the President ruined any chances to "work together" or get anything bipartisan and blah-blah-blah. What a jerk! IS HE NUTS??? Where's he been for the last six years? In a frickin' COMA???? Hey, dude, you BELIEVE those assholes who say - well now we just can't work together....??? Seriously???? Dude: THEY WERE NEVER GONNA WORK TOGETHER!!!! NEVER!!!!!! This bunch was NEVER EVER gonna make time for this President. They've spent the past six years saying no. That's all they've done. Torpedoed everything, even ideas that some of their own had been promoting in the past. Those, too! Since this President got behind some of those, they decided it was no-go. ASSHOLES.

Hey, GOP, you climbed into bed with this. Now it gets to fuck you!

They'll soon prove they can't govern their way out of a Snapple lid. I'd bet some of 'em don't even remember how anymore. And for the asshole newbies, it's just all about the anarchy anyway. Remember, this bunch is into hating government and wanting to do everything they can to dismantle it. Which would leave us with anarchy. I find it funny and rather ironic that some of them are bringing up that word now. Well, I guess they'd know, 'eh?

Hell Yes We Are!

And proud of it, too!

You all were just fine with it when your "unitary executive" was george w dry-drunk.
