A better and more doable strategy would be SCOTUS term limits.

Expanding the bench would be impractical and ungainly. We’d do it when Democrats get full power. But when the bad guys got their turn, they’d do it, too. Nine justices would become 13, and then expand some more from there - as the GOP would see (and sell it) “to even things up better for OUR side again”. And this trade-off-from Hell would just keep on going until too late to do anything to stop
it.

The hate radio development has been our downfall. And nobody on our side woke up about it til too late, and it had metastasized to TV (Pox Noise), also completely unchecked, mainly because our side allowed the fairness Doctrine and Equal Time provisions to be done away with.

Frankly, these toxic media outlets need to be undone. Dismantled. Destroyed. And I don’t know how that can be done at this point. But that’s the source of the mass infection.

But there's that other dynamic in play here, as well.

Nobody want to admit they were wrong, much less that they’ve been royally HAD. It’s gonna take an almost Herculean effort for some of ‘em (maybe a lot, or most of them) to find their inner grown-up and shake this off.

If we didn’t have such a powerful and as-yet unchecked push-back from Pox Noise and other Dark Side media trying to salvage their own pride and misplaced sense of “righteousness” then a graceful reconciliation might be possible.

But it takes a LOT to get there, including an acceptance of a very harsh and deeply unwanted reality that many of them will resist to the bitter end. It’s a pride thing. Some of our misguided brothers and sisters just may not be willing to see the light. Conversion away from previous staunchly-held and passionately-embraced is often not easy or voluntary.
