Nope - he'd find a way to finagle a regular spot on Pox Noise.

Which would be fine with me because then I wouldn't have to watch him anymore! I don't watch Pox Noise. Just on principle.

Yeah, let's all keep that in mind about john mccain. He's in NO position to scold anybody else about

bad judgment. He foisted Ms. winky ding-dong on us all, and because she developed a taste for the political high life and the big bucks and bright lights and TV coverage, we've had to suffer her and her idiocy ever since. I'd certainly like to see the Tundra Tart forced to cool her stiletto heels for a LONG time.

And this is terrible because... ? ... ? ... ?

I think she has every right to cash in! She may have to pick and choose carefully because somebody's gonna try to hang her on taking money from some terrorist group or Iranians or something. Unfortunately, that ICK, ted cruz, will likely still be in the Senate - if his big intolerant joe-mccarthy mouth doesn't render him forced to resign sooner. He just got in so we're all stuck with him til 2018. Texas voters - WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???? Did you just like his face or his last name? What the hell???????? That has YOUR name on it, you know, whether you like it or not. As a Californian, I've gotta say - I will always wince at the names reagan and nixon - because our sometimes-foolish state foisted both those bastards on the country - even though I myself didn't go along with it. And our lovely state pushed that selfish old fart howard jarvis on everybody, too, and started that nightmare back in 1978, affecting the social climate enough that the ground was all nice 'n' softened up for reagan's success two years later to take root.

I'm sorry, America!

You can go to the comment section on their website. Or Facebook!

http://www.facebook.com/MeetThePress - might be a good place to start.

Add a comment, or two, or more! It's instructive to see the other comments, too (the public will see yours as well - you could win another waverer over who hasn't quite had enough of mccain yet but isn't too enthralled about having more). Most of them are voicing rather intense mccain-fatigue.

Maybe we should start a campaign to convince the "Meet the Press" not to book him anymore.

I just did that on their Facebook page.

I swear, they have mccain on EVERY FRICKIN' SUNDAY!!! There isn't ONE other person out there they can find to book instead of him? Not ONE? With seven billion people on this planet, and at least 300 million people in this country, all they've got week-after-week is him?

He's done. He's bitter. He's a liar. He's a pissant. He's stale. He's over. SO over!

Excellent point. Why was she allowed to keep her gun?

Doesn't anybody put two and two together anymore and get anything other than 49,375?

February 18, 2013

Yes. Even in Arizona. It can happen even in Arizona! Just make your voice heard!

Just start by making a complaint. And keep at it til you get what you want. That's what the frickin' teabaggers have done. That's what Pox Noise does every day of the week and twice on Sunday! Repeat, repeat, repeat. On it, on it, on it. Again, and again, and again. I did that at my neighborhood bank. And I didn't give up. Every time I went in there, I complained. I complained to whatever teller I saw. THEN, when I didn't see any results, I started walking over to the far end of the room where the managers' desks were, and I complained THERE. Sure enough, I soon noticed that there was no more Pox Noise on my bank's TV monitors. Now it was CNBC or CNN.

I made my complaints personal. I used to be a news reporter/anchor. And truly, I am personally offended by what passes for "news coverage" on outfits like Pox Noise. It dirties up the profession I used to love and in which I was SO proud to play a small part. Gives the whole concept of "news" a big fat oozing black eye. It makes me ashamed. It makes me ashamed of that whole industry that I was once part of. I looked on it as more than just a job or a profession. It was almost like a calling. A calling to inform and educate and illuminate, to spread truth and shed light and cut through lies and bullshit and bear witness. It was like being on a mission. And then these assholes come along with their blonde blow-up dolls and their plastic puffed-up "anchormen" and their ding-dong bells and flashing lights and bright moving colors and just PERVERT everything, while dumbing down America.

I HATE Pox Noise with a burning passion.

HATE country music. But I LOVE the Dixie Chicks!

Country music makes me want to run screaming into the night. But I LOVE the Dixie Chicks. Probably more because of what they stand for - than for any tunes or strumming or fiddling or singing or anything along those lines. Their courage is far more impressive.

Well, from what I read, he WASN'T duped. Remember those articles about him calling bullshit?

The night before or the day before he was supposed to go to the UN, he got pissed off and didn't want to do it, said it was bullshit, and made a stink, and said "I'm not gonna read that!"

Buuuuuuuuutttt - sure enough, the next day, there he is, at the UN, spouting all these lies so convincingly. Even my husband, who had tremendous respect for the guy, was one of many who said - "well... if colin powell says so, then I guess it must be true." At the time I remember seeing reports about cheney telling powell to do it because powell could afford to lose a few points in his public opinion ratings.

INFURIATING!!!!! And I'm sorry. If powell knew it was bullshit, and said so, and complained and balked, AND THEN CAVED, then he's as guilty as the rest of 'em. He could have said no. He could have refused. He could have - and SHOULD have - resigned. That would have gotten people's attention and MAYBE caused enough of the public to have second thoughts that we could have forestalled the damn war.

He's just as guilty. He was uniquely positioned to be able to mount a meaningful objection, using that clout that cheney looked at, hungrily, and decided deliberately and ruthlessly to exploit. colin powell should be held FULLY responsible and accountable, and if it means a war crimes tribunal for him, too, then so be it. He could have stopped this. He could have avoided this messy position he's in now. He had it in the palm of his hand. And he threw it away in order to get in bed with fucking Lucifer.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
