You mean I may be able to enjoy hours on end of NO Kellyanne CONway?

Really? I'll be right over!

If I'm near the TV at 3pm Pacific time, I now tune away to CNN, the Food Network, BBC America, the Weather Channel, or whatever it is. It WON'T be Greta Van Susteren. I won't watch her. On principle as well as on content, and more. Two-and-a-half days during her opening week, and I've seen enough. Buh-bye. I'm gone til she's gone. Same thing with Andrea Mitchell at 9am Pacific time. Buh-bye.

Gotta hand it to trump - whose name I can't even bear to capitalize.

I will give him this much:

He seems to have been a human B-12 shot in the cheeks. I am marveling at the explosion of creativity that he's... um... "inspired". The handmade signs at the L.A. Women's March! There were even large papier mache figures! And not just visuals but verbal (hard to top the brilliance of "We Are Not Ovary-acting" - one of my absolute FAVORITES!!!) and considering the clever chanting and the drum circles with dancing in the middle of intersections (no cars for blocks! Only people!) it was also a treat for the ears.

And then there's the spontaneous outbreak of massive peaceful protest marches. That takes it to a whole other level.

And it's now two major entertainment industry events, the Golden Globes, and the SAG Awards, where actors and actresses have spoken out, using that level of "bully pulpit." Adds further injury to what I'm sure galls Orange Julius to no end: these folks didn't vote for him, and they're rich and famous like he is, only difference is - people LIKE them. And they DON'T like him! And he CRAVES being liked. Even worse, most of them made it obvious they wouldn't be caught dead anywhere near him on January 20th, either as an attendee, invitee, or performing participant.

Unpredictability does not seem to be a good - or welcome - thing, either internationally,

OR financially.

Haven't we heard the whining of Wall Street about the "uncertainty!!!" "Oh, the uncertainty!" Hey, we LIVE with uncertainty.

But you CAN contain it. Shape it. Prepare for it. Try to anticipate manage variables that come up, and as with a chess game, try always to think three steps ahead.

But For Pete's Sake, you don't see a fire burning and throw fucking GASOLINE on it!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if the "worst trading day of the new year" just a few days ago is because of him. He did say he wanted to be unpredictable. But we can't afford to play so close to the edge like you can when you play hardball negotiator in a business deal. This is governing. This is not just politics, it's GEOpolitics. The world is watching and reacts and THAT makes a BIG difference. We don't operate in a vacuum.

I don't think trump understands this. He's operating in his own little world.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
