calimary
calimary's JournalYep. I think that's a VERY safe bet.
EVERYTHING anybody in this mal-administration does - has an ulterior motive attached. NOTHING is what they say it is. I would say that should be the default position from which all of America takes in anything this SOILED White House says, does, offers, or claims.
ALWAYS get a second opinion on these devious manipulative schmucks.

OMG!!!
Yes. We do. This one does, sometimes. Or I used to, sometimes, when I was working.
Nice way to dress up an outfit.
Handy way to distract if your wardrobe is limited.
Warmth.
Because you like it.
Color is flattering.
Someone you love or care about gave it to you.
It represents a special event or moment or gathering or organization.
You like wearing silky, flow-y fabric. Feels nice against the skin.
Drapery can be strategic
- concealing a "flaw" and redirecting the eye elsewhere.
- concealing a "crepey neck."
- long narrow scarves guide the eye vertically, not horizontally (for those of us who are weight-conscious).
Dr. Birx does seem to like her scarves. She accessorizes just about every outfit she's worn. Just something I've noticed.

Good and valid point. CNN has been showing numbers different from these.
I guess, as a TOTALLY AMATEUR statistician/science buff here, that because I watch MSNBC a lot, and I started keeping track of their cases/deaths counts over the weekend, I'm using mainly their statistics. I don't want to vary the sources because one would have to average them in, and that takes time, and it might need to be done a certain way for a-scientific-as-possible results. A controlled experiment. The only variable I can control in this very minimal and non-pro case is where I get the data from. The source of the data. To attempt at consistency, as it were.
Seems to me it can provide one kind of general view of How Things Are Going.

Welcome to DU, DenverJared!
You must be a writer, yourself, judging from the way you crafted your post.
DUers tend to be that, or arrive there if not there already.
Hey guys -
EVERY post you write - makes you a better writer.
EVERY post you read - makes you a better thinker and analyst.
EVERY POST! EVERY DOGGONE ONE!
Remember that.
And remember THIS:
EVERY post YOU write is gonna make another reader think, and maybe post, him/herself - thus helping to make that person better at both those levels of involvement.
You're doing good - for the greater good.
Yeah. I soooooooooooo get that.
But I'm not gonna quit playing. That builds the case. And I'm gonna keep building the case.
BRAVO, Nitram!!!!!!
Somebody has to blow the whistle when white-washing attempts are made.
I'm sure those white-washing attempts are, themselves, attempted in good faith. "Let's all accentuate the positive..." But the problem then is, a lot of wrongdoing, wrong decisions from the top, and just plain ol' negligence and outright DENIAL have handicapped us and slowed our response.
And we HAVE TO face that, and, as you stated, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT - in November, if indeed not sooner.
WE can't be in denial even though our "dear leader" and his apologists and amen-choruses all have been, and in many ways, all still are.
SUPERB letter! They obviously thought so, too, because they chose it to run. Also means your letter is representative of TONS of others saying the same thing, but maybe not quite as eloquently. You speak for them all, and us all.
