About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

So did I.

And she always has been.

I now take some personal delight in using William Safire's utterly untrue putdown of her to apply to trump, as often as possible. Years ago, Safire called Hillary Clinton a "congenital liar" in one of his bullshit hot-air columns. That insult actually fits trump to perfection. I enjoy putting the term "congenital liar" in its rightful and most accurate place. Sometimes I throw in "pathological" for good measure. That fits trump, too.

I hope so, too.

Dr. King is a cornerstone of a real revolution that the rest of us, including Bernie, took up in the decades that followed. I can't believe it's been 50 years...

She's doing a superb job! I'm very impressed with her and very proud of her!

I knew her dad while I was still working (well, when he was her dad, Bob Tur, before transgender life was embraced).

I am SO impressed with her work, her quick wit, her excellent questions, and her incisive comments - like the one just today wherein she posed a subtle quip at the end of a segment regarding trump's constant lying and his defenders claiming it's merely "being sloppy" about whether her parents would have called her "sloppy" when they and she both knew she was lying.

That's for damn sure!

Holy Cannoli, neither can I. I just don't get it.

We simply MUST have perfect or we're taking our ball and going home and pouting and screw all the rest of you. Voting for the merely good is NOT good enough.

Yeah, THAT'S gonna get a whole helluva lot accomplished.

If you MUST hold out for perfect when the merely good, or even the really good, isn't enough, you thereby guarantee that you'll wind up with bad.

NO. It's not just you, cab67. I think that's a great and terrifyingly accurate metaphor.

However, resistance in THIS case is NOT futile. It's actually URGENTLY needed.

Welcome to DU, LiberalBrooke!

Yep. Unfortunately, that's probably a lot of it. They'd go after her if she were a man, because she's a liberal and a Democrat, but she's a MASSIVE repeat target, so the magnitude and frequency was amped WAY up.

She's an uppity woman, who doesn't know her "proper" (read: subservient) place. And we simply cannot have that, now, can we.

And don't forget treason.

I tweeted her about that.

Reminded her that she’s a cancer survivor. One would think that would have made her a nicer person.

Well that's just too damn bad.

It can certainly be viewed as fitting payback for all the times they’ve embraced the “shut up and dribble” crap.
