That's what often bothers me about the whole "I'm forgiven!" thing.

Yeah, I was taught that in Catholic school. I try to embrace it in my own feeble way. But that gets me, too, tblue -

"The one that really gets me is people saying they're going to Heaven because they've accepted Christ as their personal savior _no matter what kinda ugly they do_. As if Jesus gives out "Get Out of Hell free" cards and, once you have one, you don't have to care about anybody else."

I remember hearing george w. dry-drunk saying that on one occasion. "I'm fergiven!" And I remember thinking - "okay, so that gives you a free pass to lie us into war and other schmuckery? But it's okay because "Yer Fergiven!"???

Such frickin' INFANTS!!!

Well, then YOU have to give up THIS.

SHEESH. What is this, the battle of the three-year-olds????? This is pre-school shit. HE started it! No SHE did! I can't have this? Well, then YOU can't have THAT! What a bunch of infants.

They really should be ashamed of themselves. But they won't be.

I wish I could go.

Even though I didn't know him well, you'll still be representing me.

Thank you for this, scarlet woman.

They're all on their knees, praying Oh PLEEEEEEEEEEEEZE!!!!

I hope God is kind to us on this!

Totally. I think we all need to remember it, regardless which Democrat we're supporting.

We need OUR OWN "11th Commandment" like the one ronald reagan had for republi-CONS. Ours would state:

"Thou shalt not speak ill of another Democrat."

All I'll say about the divisiveness that's building here between one candidate's followers and another candidate's followers - Bernie Sanders has already stated that he is not, and will not be, a spoiler. If he doesn't get the nomination, he's already said he won't break away and run as an independent, but will support the Democratic nominee. Because he wisely points out that it's FAR more important to keep the White House in Democratic hands. FAR MORE IMPORTANT. Whoever sits in that Oval Office is the one who gets to pick the next Supreme Court nominees. And for me, frankly, that's pretty much all I need to know.

I, too, have already stated (as have other Hillary supporters on this board) that we will be proud to support and vote for Bernie Sanders if he beats Hillary to the nomination. I wish I saw that, correspondingly, from other camps. And unfortunately, I do not.

We cannot afford for ANY of us to stay home and pout on Election Day. We Just CAN'T. I certainly have no plans to do that. None whatsoever.

If anybody remembers Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show," there was this routine

that he had with his band leader, Doc Severinson, when a joke in the monologue bombed.

All of a sudden, the orchestra started in on "Tea for Two..." "...dah-dah-dah DAH, dah-DAH, day-DAH, dah-DAH..." and he'd start up with a little two-step tap-dance and it'd always make the crowd start laughing, so he'd wind up GETTING the laugh, anyway!

I hear Doc Severinson and the band warming up again any time jebbie gets put on the spot... "...dah-dah-dah DAH, dah-DAH, day-DAH, dah-DAH..." That's your cue, jebbie-boy! Start tap-dancing!

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
