I'm not into death metal but I am CERTAINLY a fan of THIS guy now! He's gonna go to Heaven when he dies.
Btw - I messaged him on Facebook just to say thank you, and he messaged me back! I did not mention any band involvement. Didn't want to seem like I was trying to hustle him. Not much point anyway - ACIDIC's music style is not compatible with death metal so we wouldn't be a workable tour match in the first place. This was strictly animal-lover to animal-lover.

She sent me a photo, taken about three weeks ago. May 16th. Hungry little mouths in there!

Here's OUR nest - still in the same place, up against the wall under the overhang by our front door. This was taken about three weeks ago - on May 22nd. We'd started noticing somebody was hanging out in the nest again. Sleeping there at night, sometimes sitting there during the day. We could see the top of the little black head sticking up just high enough above the rim of the nest. She'd usually fly away as soon as she realized she'd been noticed. But here - you can see her tail sticking out of the nest. She's down in there. We didn't know why - until this past Sunday when we heard the little "results" making their first noises from deep down inside there!

Heard 'em again today. Nothing to see yet. But it rained off 'n' on all day today and it was
comforting to me to know they're all safe and sheltered, in that nest tucked up into the overhang by our front door!

There are some really First-Class writers here. World-class, really. SO many people here have great ideas - and just as elegant a way to express them. I enjoy your posts as well, my friend!
And I like this thread a LOT. We have our writing here as our only weapon. Our figurative pens are our only swords. But it can be mighty stirring sometimes, and motivating, and illuminating, and encouraging. Sometimes I think we should do this, exactly. Celebrate the writers and the writing here - cuz it's so damn good. And so damn incisive, and a lot of it is so damn funny! Shit - even people's names are funny here - my favorites including SalmonChantedEvening and Snotcicles (and those are just the two that come to mind at this particular moment) - some of 'em are so damn clever they make me laugh out loud.
And I've learned BOATLOADS here. Mainly because the writing here is so engaging and compelling to read. The better it's written, or the wittier it's written - the easier it is to absorb!
As they always said on the picket lines during various Writers Guild strikes - "In the Beginning was The WORD."

That aerial view of the device reminds me of the Vietnam War Memorial. A simple "V" configuration. That is unbelievably powerful.

Doing it now in a well-coordinated and broad-based attempt to rewrite the history of the last
GOP "administration." I was gonna say "God-forsaken" but I can think of SEVERAL GOP administrations that qualify for that. Not just bush/cheney.
As I recall, rummy was ALL-IN on this. NEVER even uttered a peep about how wrong it might be or unworkable it might be. NOT ONCE.
