NICE!

Be gentle.

They may be doing more drinking anyway. I'd guess there are lots of sorrows to drown, in that contingent.

Thanks to Skinner - and also to you, liberalnarb!

Like your sig line a lot! REALLY appreciate it. Did you create that yourself?

Not surprising. With scalia gone it's probably not as much fun for him anymore.

Besides, he's the one who never contributed. Never talked. Never asked a question, seldom ever wrote anything. He just SAT there taking up space, but always guaranteed to vote the wrong way. Besides, scalia was such an attention whore and had such a loud mouth and such in-yer-face arrogance and pomposity that clarence never had to do anything. scalia took up all the slack. He had a really easy job with scalia making all the noise. Kept him from being called upon or from feeling obligated to do any actual work or make any actual contributions.

No loss. He won't be missed because he hasn't done anything that anyone COULD miss. He never left any mark or memorable statement or any written brief of any note. Now we can fill that seat then with somebody WE like better, and someone who will actually do some work.

Bless their hearts...

Talking about making a stink about something you don't like...

Hey, whatever. Explode away! But they better not start arguing about rising air pollution...

Awwww... Happy baby! Happy Mom & Dad!

Happy Grandma & Grandpa!

John Derbyshire will be most unhappy today! To which I say - GOOD! Let's PARTY!!!

http://www.johnderbyshire.com/Opinions/USPolitics/chelsea1.html

Years ago, he wrote a column in the National Review, advocating the murder of Chelsea Clinton - simply because she WAS a Clinton and he argued that the Clinton lineage should be wiped off the face of the earth. He stunk up the joint so bad by doing that - that the National Review fired him.

Too vile and odiferous even for the National Review! That's really saying something!

My kids fit that description.

Both of them are Millennials. And both of them voted for Hillary, a choice they each came to on their own, without any prompting from me. My daughter even said, unsolicited, "he doesn't offer any concrete solutions, just a lot of complaining." She said she liked Hillary better because Hillary had specific ideas and spelled out ways to implement them. But then again, both my kids are pretty doggone practical in their thinking.

As my husband often describes it - "more ME, please!"

I'm sorry, but that sure seems to be about the size of it. He's losing leverage. So glaringly that even the chattering class is on it now. As Nancy Reagan once warned - "people are talking" - to the hapless and didn't-realize-his-goose-is-cooked Don Regan. Buzz had begun that he was in trouble, had fallen out of favor, and was well on his way out of the Reagan White House. It turned out to be true. Bernie does NOT want people talking about this, now. It doesn't serve him or suit his interests. I get a very strong feeling that he does not realize this.

Yep. 'Fraid so. She'll figure prominently in the history books.

He'll be a mere footnote.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
