About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

No kidding.

No kidding, my friend.

Good luck tomorrow! Hope you're able to get this problem fixed!

Or if not completely fixed, then noticeably improved.

Luckovich nails it yet AGAIN!

Oh yeah!

Right. She didn't. She's been rather fastidious about that, all along.

But that doesnít mean we have to be...

I certainly would like to!

Wasn't it a Ben Franklin quote about "this is your democracy...

if you can keep itĒ?

Or just start calling themselves the trumplican party.

Good stuff, ancianita! I'd add - find your nearest Indivisible group, and join up.

Ours organizes Postcard Parties where folks can meet up, order some eats, and write postcards to our legislators, both federal and state. We provide everything from postcards and postage to pens of all colors, addresses, and suggested scripts for what to say during those calls, or comments or requests (like Close the Camps, and Impeachment Now! and other issues of the week).

Those suggested scripts are what our Research & Writing team generates every weekend. Not only does that material get used at the Postcard Parties, but also when we have our pre-meetings to coordinate topics for discussion with our monthly visit to our Congressmanís office.

That material includes these one-per-weekday ďasksĒ AND events, other sister group meetings, rallies, marches, speakers, and more. Every Indivisible group is unique and does stuff a little differently but what matters most is - - -

Itís stuff you can actually DO. Itís stuff that gets done. And allows you to use your voice and be counted. And sometimes do DIRECT in-person speaking-truth-to-power encounters.

It makes you feel like youíre actually accomplishing something. Itís empowering. And you meet new brothers and sisters of like mind, and your spirit gets nourished and uplifted that way.

AND you get to immerse yourself in the literal, physical, tangible truth that you are NOT alone! Heck, you might make a new friend or two, or five. That is a VERY wonderful and reaffirming thing. And the more you indulge, the more youíll discover how NOT alone you actually are!
