Beautiful post, Cha!

He's a very special and impressive man. And for all the shit he's had to take and had to deal with, he's a remarkable man. He is a giant surrounded by gnats. History will be very kind to this President. It's unfortunate that he'll have to wait til long after his second term ends to get the respect he deserves and has MORE than earned. I suspect he will come to be regarded as one of the GREAT Presidents of our history.

I also look forward to seeing ronald reagan drop down farther and farther on the list. Horrid president, with a legacy mainly of greed and selfishness, and "Millionaires On Parade".

I think it's great-looking for all the reasons you mentioned, VanillaRhapsody!

It's flattering, not fussy, and probably easy to keep.

Hillary has taken all kinds of shit about her hair for as long as I can remember her being in the public eye. Remember her headbands, back during the 1992 campaign? CRIMINY, you'd have thought she was doing some skinhead thing, the uproar about it. Everybody judging everything she did and how she looked and dressed. People made such a fuss about her headbands. I had long hair and wore headbands all the time, too, back then. To keep it outta my FACE! So I can relate. And she looked good with a headband on, too.

I kept thinking - "what's it to you, anyway?"

Might be better, strategically, to bring one of the Castro brothers in as Hillary's running mate.

Assuming her ultimate opponent would be jeb bush, that would steal his "and I can speak Spanish, too!" thunder and blunt his appeal. AND allow her ticket to make even more political history - with a Latino Vice President.

You noticed.

"And I am the one in my circle who is known to not care much for the Clinton's, but around here it is like I am a cheerleader for them compared to some of the shit I read here."

Kinda hard not to notice the utter savagery toward HRC. It's gotten pretty nasty around here lately. Some complain about similar hostilities voiced toward Bernie Sanders but I sure haven't seen much of that, AT ALL. Seriously, there's no comparison! The criticism of Hillary Clinton around here just rains down, nonstop, as though it were round-the-clock, years-long monsoon season. It's probably because Hillary supporters are vastly outnumbered here. Bernie Sanders definitely rules the DU.

And evidently others have noticed the same thing - elsewhere beyond just DU:

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
