About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

Hugs to you and Mr. Spock too, FarPoint!

Damn - I was trying to depict the "live long and prosper" salute. Two forward-slashes, two backslashes. For some reason, the system won't let me. I'd type it in, but I'd only get one forward-slash: \//

So do I! She still looks pretty great, even photoshopped like that.

And knowing her - we'd get a rather loud guffaw out of her over this. She'd probably find this hilarious. But she's always had a great sense of humor.

And I STILL want those brains in our Oval Office.

I have a third Fuck Jill Stein to give.

That I don't know.

I never heard any upshot from this particular clip, other than lots of laughter finally dying down.

Whoever that individual is - he deserves to have the book thrown at him. And same thing for his wife.

What you said.

What EVERYBODY here said.

YOU and your lame-ass ideas and your idiot campaign helped us get trump. FUCK YOU JILL STEIN.

Weren't those the best? DAAAAAAMN!!!

That's okay. Some of our finest friends (the four-legged kind) don't, either.

If there are fireworks expected near you, make sure your animals are INDOORS where they're safe. Make sure they can't get out, if there's a panicky moment. If YOU go out and leave them at home, also leave some music on, or the TV or something, so there's noise to blot out what might scare them from outside.

Hell, she deserves two timeslots!

And why not? Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruhle have more than one show. Combined they get three hours a day, Monday through Friday. And there's still somehow no room for Joy Reid, full-time?

I'd say start complaining on @msnbc

Joy Reid is THE BEST interviewer in the news business. She does not suffer fools. She does not allow the "Gish Gallop" to continue, where some CON starts running off at the mouth and filibustering their wrong-wing talking points. She doesn't even allow a guest to try to slip in phrases like "the democrat party" or "my democrat colleagues" or "the democrat bill." I've seen her stop the conversation cold and gently but firmly correct the offender - "now, c'mon. We don't say that here. It's 'Democratic Party'..." etc. I REALLY love and appreciate that. That's bothered me for YEARS.

That's another thing I fantasize about doing, in my fantasy job as News Chief at MSNBC: imposing a new rule. Thou Shalt NOT Allow Guests To Get Away With Saying "Democrat Party" And/Or Other Such Derivatives. Obey this or lose your show.

Just to be a troublemaker... Happy 4th of July Weekend!

It's an oldie but a goodie (by almost exactly two years). But it's as fabulous as ever, and just as timely! Just sit back and enjoy! Have a kleenex handy after about a minute in. Because you'll soon be laughing hard enough that you'll have to blow your nose, at the very least!

And our mayor, Eric Garcetti, is a leader of a group of mayors committed to

adhering to the Paris Accord. DESPITE whatever trump might want, or want to do.

Our mayor here in L.A. is pretty damn sweet. #TheResistance !
