calimary's JournalShit - you too?
I thought he was GREAT! Hes WAY ready for prime time. Like maybe in 2020.
Like Mount McKinley compared to the big orange zit who served as a flat, insincere, pathetic and totally uninspiring (luke)warmup act.
Compared to the lackluster, cliche-ridden, singsongy delivery from the Russian Puppet,
THIS young man soared.
Whoever tapped him to give the Democratic response is a freakin GENIUS! One hopefully with a very clear and accurate crystal ball. This kid could be president someday. Maybe SHOULD be president someday.
I was tremendously impressed, yet again. Ive heard him speak before, and came to the same conclusion. He gave you a solid feeling that he felt EVERY word, EVERY sentence. Deeply, sincerely, personally, and with heart. This was no flat, uninspiring, pathetic, phony-ass mechanical, no, nearly robotic reading. This speech was alive, breathing, earnest, passionate, filled with an intense underpinning of true and honest and serious commitment - a commitment to the greater good.
Hes got my vote for president. An outstanding debut in this kind of national showcase. You could tell he felt every bit of it, while his pompous self-congratulatory vainglorious lead-in just read words. Like ediction to drugs, for example. And scorge when the script called for scourge.
Young Kennedy was shining like a brand new penny, throughout. What a breath of fresh air after that old stale superficial over-inflated buffoon. Appealing and sincere, genuine and relatable as all-get-out. I was actually starting to choke up by the end.
Sheesh, what a dick.
She is revealed. Cover is blown, but probably not nearly as broadly as is needed.
And how many who should be keeping track of stuff like this - actually DO keep track of stuff like this?
The lack of interest or motivation out there to connect dots - just blows my mind.
Well, for Al Capone it all ended in tax evasion.
Indeed.
Lots he could do. And maybe my point was missed.
Im sick and tired of hearing about how more than just Steve Schmidt is feeling troubled. It goes WAY beyond Steve Schmidt. It goes through increasingly large swaths of elected representatives and other talking heads and opinion-meisters who somehow seem far more troubled about sticking their necks out and showing some REAL guts and leadership. Like, where the hell is Bob Kasich? Besides asleep maybe? Doesnt wanna get his hands dirty?
Well, please forgive me, but to me were long past the chicken point by now. Its time to stand up, show some spine where it really counts for keeps: for the sake of America, Americas moral high ground, our leadership among nations, the survival of our institutions and what REALLY makes us great, and has ALWAYS made us great. Heck, in increasingly terrifying ways, our entire planet and its ability to sustain ALL life is at stake! Wheres Jeff Flake, for example? I want these assholes to start showing, AND PROVING that they stand for country over party, not the other way around. I want them, all their little friends, followers, and funders
There are all kinds of things that could be done or instigated. For example...
Whats Steve Schmidt doing to turn his fellow CONS toward voting for impeachment?
Or leaning on them, hard, publicly, and by name, to sponsor and vote for the measure co-authored by Ted Lieu to protect Robert Mueller from being fired?
Or disavow the stinking republiCON Party in public and/or leave the party, change affiliation to Independent or, yes, even Democratic? And make a big public thing of it?
Or denounce trump and make it clear they DONT support him and now think hes a lying cheating traitor?
Encourage them flat-out to grow a pair and cast off their MAGA presidential kneepads?
Id want to see folks like him, Nicolle Wallace, Joe Scarborough, David Jolly, and more become much louder and more aggressive about how wrong trump & comp are for America.
And Id want them pushing the fact-checking. Again and again. At EVERY possible turn and opportunity. To remind the ciewers. Remind. Repeat. Like GOP propaganda does without pause or let-up. Id like to see more of those folks start weaning their friends and colleagues from Newsmax and Breitbart and Pox Noise to open their eyes and stop avoiding this. Publicly denounce. Check the facts. Correct the record. Aggressively.
Rather than just clipping on the little mic and settling back in their studio chairs and sets with the local skyline or a wall full of books behind them. And opine, so damn antiseptically.
Id like to see some meat on their bones. Not just studio makeup on their faces.
Thanks for this, karynnj!
Theres always context. But unfortunately there seems also to be an iron-clad unforgiving zero-tolerance attitude toward certain female politicians whom some evidently feel havent quite been persecuted enough...
