Aristus
Aristus's JournalHad to come home from work sick.
Cough with some mild chest pain, no fever, chills, or respiratory distress. I think it's just the bronchitis Mrs. Aristus has had for the last three weeks. I'm surprised it took me this long to start getting symptoms.
One of my colleagues is testing me for COVID-19. I'm getting symptomatic treatment, and came home to self-isolate until I get the test results and no longer have a cough.
I know I don't have the flu because I got vaccinated, (kiss my ass, anti-vaxxers...)
We'll see what happens.
I love you all...
People are FINALLY staying home! I'm at the clinic doing telephone visits.
Thank you, Governor Inslee, for your stay-at-home order.
Self-isolating, but still working from home.
I'm on call this week. My turn in the barrel started at 8 o'clock this morning.
At 8:13, my phone rang, and I've had eight calls since then. People are freaking out...
Self-quarantining today.
Staying home, watching some TV, doing a lot of reading and some net-surfing.
In other words: the weekend...
Friday Night Gin-Buzz. Ask me anything. Anyone still up?
I know it's late.
Just finished watching "Knives Out".
Fun...
We just got our Covid-19 testing kits.
And I just finished with our first tested patient. Results in 2-3 days. I'll let you know how it goes.
He's not showing any of the signs associated with the virus. No fever or any respiratory distress. He had the common cold last month, and just wants to be sure he's okay.
Today I bought my staff doughnuts for breakfast and pizza for lunch.
For a job well done this week.
They all thanked me. But I replied: "What makes you think I'm not just trying to kill you very slowly?"
A homeless man under quarantine in King County broke quarantine and escaped.
He was seen getting onto a Seattle metro bus. Where he's headed is anybody's guess.
I hope my homeless patients stay safe. There's talk of opening the available rooms at local motels for the homeless, so they can be inside individually, or in small groups, rather than at the shelters, which are stews of contagion.
This would be a good course of action. I don't want patients with respiratory illnesses on the streets in this weather (or any weather, really...) but I don't want them cooped up together where they spread the infection.
I've visited with sixty-three patients so far this week. Only four for respiratory illnesses.
I'm guessing everyone else with viral symptoms is going to the emergency rooms, urgent care centers, or staying home. I feel fine, so I'll keep coming to work.
Everybody stay healthy.
We have watching Trump do the perp walk as incentive to stay above ground.
