Aristus's JournalA musical expression of nobility, IN MEMORIAM...
"Under the wide and starry sky, dig the grave and let me lie...
Glad did I live and gladly die
And I lay me down with a will;
And this be the verse you grave for me:
'Here he lies where he longed to be
Home is the sailor, home from sea
And the hunter home from the hill' "
- Robert Louis Stevenson
Just did an ingrown toenail excision. It went off (or should I say 'came off'?) without a hitch.
Nice way to end the workweek.
The patient came in thinking she was going to have to get a referral to podiatry, and have a few more days of pain to deal with.
"No problem" I said. "I'll take care of it."
My assistant had only helped out with this procedure once before, and was worried how she was going to do. She nailed it. Excuse the expression.
For right now, at least, life is good...
Anyone remember Title and Author? Joke book titles with the appropriate joke author names?

Friday Night Wine Buzz. Ask me anything.
Interesting day in clinic. I worked in our mainstream clinic today in place of my supervising physician, who is on vacation.
Busier than the homeless clinic right now.
I visited with two transgender patients today. That's a pretty rare occurrence. One was female transitioning to male. He seemed relieved to be able to visit with a sympathetic provider. I referred him at his request to transgender counseling, which seems to be a requirement for anyone considering gender re-assignment surgery.
Interesting day. It was good to practice medicine again, instead of sitting around twiddling my thumbs.
Hello to all my Lounge friends.
I love you all...
Has anybody seen this? There was a trailer for it on YouTube.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_ThinningStrikes me as pretty unsubtle, right-wing horseshit. And not just because Stacey Dash is in it.
The UN is the enemy, and the term 'Great Society' is used, with blistering irony, as a bad thing.
Has anyone seen it? Are my suspicions correct?
