You know what I miss? Steak served with parsley and a slice of cinnamon apple.
Seems like every restaurant served their steak like that. Not anymore...
Got the bad and the good here in clinic today.
Just had to call the cops on two guys who were trying to stage a throw-down in the waiting room. I rarely hear that level of shouting outside of a Seahawks game...
And one of my regular patients, very sweet homeless lady, gave me a nice big juicy-red apple to have with my lunch. The good outweighs the bad (most of the time...)
I get anti-vaxxers in clinic all the time. But yesterday,
I got someone who was blithering about 'chem trails'.
She also tried to shake me down for every addictive medication in the formulary...
Fun and games...
Two more days...
Weekend Wine-Buzz, Part Two: "I Needed More Buzz Because Of The Workweek I Had".
Don't judge me.
Drink with me instead...
Friday Night Wine-Buzz. Probably too late for any but the Lounge night-owls.
Hello if you're there...
I had a monstrously busy day in clinic.
I'm beat...
I had visits with three patients that were so complex, they essentially billed out as hospital visits.
I went eighteen rounds with a drug-seeker, who finally gave in and allowed me to plan an appropriate treatment protocol for him.
And I'm trying to let the new clinic manager know how little I respect him without either rolling my eyes or coming right out and saying he's a doorknob. (He's an ex-cop who still thinks like a cop, instead of thinking like a medical clinic manager...)
Please God, get me through tomorrow.
I need a drink...
Man, the public perception of the Bush family has gone up dramatically since Trump came along.
All this talk of grace, class, sophistication, etc in the wake of former POTUS George H. W. Bush's death.
Once viewed as intellectually retrograde, (a visitor to the Bush family home in Kennebunkport, Maine reported that he was unable to find a book to read anywhere in the house.), the Bushes are now touted as 'Ivy League graduates'.
Once perceived (not unfairly) as swimming in an ocean of petite bourgeois mediocrity, now they are celebrated as a dynamic Kennedy-style family devoted to public service.
Their groping, handsy patriarch is now warmly remembered as classy and gentlemanly.
'Better than Trump, at least' is not, in my estimation, necessarily a good thing.
