I’m enjoying a Boston Cocktail. Gin, apricot brandy, lemon juice, and a dash of grenadine.

I don’t have apricot brandy, so I improvised with some pear brandy and a bit of cognac.

Yum!

Just had a guy walk in asking me to sign a religious exemption for vaccines.

I sent him packing pretty quickly.

We do science here, not religious fanaticism.

Help! My computer just erased all the files from my iPod!

They’re still all in my iTunes library. How do I restore them to my device?

Day off today. Treating myself to breakfast at the local diner.

It feels so weird to be awake, not at work, and not following a schedule…

Merry Christmas, everybody! Mrs. Aristus and I are enjoying Irish creme de cacao.

Well, that's what I'm calling it. The two major named ingredients poured over ice and stirred.

Mrs. Aristus calls it "dessert in a glass."

Now a smokey Martini; gin, single-malt scotch, and dry vermouth. 🍸

The roads are sheets of ice here in the Two-Five-Three.

I made it to the clinic okay, and have a full schedule. But I'm praying for lots of no-shows. Christmas vacation (five full days off) starts at 5!

Slow days in clinic are nice, but...

Yesterday was so incredibly busy, I left work with a ton of paper on my desk, and another ton of work in my electronic in-box. And about ten charts still open. I skipped breakfast this morning and left for the office about fifteen minutes earlier than usual in order to tackle all that stuff before the clinic opened.

I got to the clinic and set nose to grindstone. Got most of it done. Then the clinic opened, and......quiet as a mouse. I could have saved myself a little of that trouble and still got caught up on paperwork.

Oh well; at least I'm not killing myself to get all the visits completed before the staff goes to lunch.

It's a gift. I'll take it...
