Donald ("I would have jumped the hijackers&quot Trump is saying: "Sure 9/11 was bad. . . . It was terrible. . . . But that afternoon my building, 40 Wall Street, became the tallest building in downtown Manhattan. . . . I mean, I don't want to minimize the importance of 9/11, but to have the tallest building in New York . . . ! Wow. Just imagine!"

Who ever heard of such a thing?"

Donald ("I once almost had compassion for somebody&quot Trump is saying: "A lot of commentators like to call me 'clueless,' but that's just because I look at things through my own, original point of view. . . . For instance, everybody says war is bad, but I love war. . . . I think it's great! . . . Just how is that clueless? . . . And about Ebola . . . ."

"What could generals possibly know anyway?" . . . Please come CAPTION Donald Trump!!

Donald ("If I was black, I'd beat the crap outta myself&quot Trump is saying, " . . . and I'll say it again, Matt, I know more than all the generals put together. . . . Look at the 88 generals who signed a letter in my support. . . . They as good as said I know more than all of them too. . . . I mean that's a great endorsement, fantastic, the best! . . . They know nothing! . . . And it's only because the miserable press won't report it that I don't get all the credit. . . . Furthermore, . . ."

Above CAPTION based on an answer Trump gave to Matt Lauer 9.7.16 as linked at Huffington Post:

"I'd love to go one-one-one, but . . . " . . . Please come CAPTION Donald Trump!!!

Donald (Ol' Turd-in-the-Punch-Bowl) Trump is saying: "'Afraid to debate Hillary one-on-one?' . . . Is that what they're saying, Mark? . . . Well, that's absolutely ridiculous. . . . In fact, there's nothing I would rather do. . . . Absolutely nothing!!! . . . It's like . . . I want to debate her mano-a-mano with all my body and soul! . . . It's just my sense of fairness to the other two candidates, and perhaps a few other interested parties like the President of the NRA and I could name a few more. . . . After all, if it's anything I am, it's fair. . . . But, heck no, I'm not the least afraid."

And let me tell you what, even after they know he's really working for me, and even after I say this out loud in front of thousands of witnesses, they'll keep him on. . . Hell, they'll probably give him a new title and pay him even more, . . . and give him more air time. . . How the heck can I lose with guys like this and networks as stupid as CNN?"
September 1, 2016

I got all the best stuff . . . and more of it than almost everybody else. . . 'Shallow'? . . . . I'll bet he doesn't have hardly any stuff, . . . and only the cheap kind. . . . About skip fox

I am retired, now a professor emeritus at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where I taught in the English department for 37 years. I've written 4 chapbooks and 5 full-sized books (all listed as poetry though many include other genres as well), including _Sheer Indefinite: Selected Poems, 1991-2012 (Univ. of New Orleans Press, 2012). I've also written a 500+ page bibliography of three contemporary poets: Robert Creeley, Ed Dorn, and Robert Duncan. I am writing now, both fiction and poetry, more now than ever. My first vote for President of the United States was for Dick Gregory in 1968 (Bowling Green, Ohio). Favorite quote: "It's easy to be an idealist if you don't have to mind the evidence, but no one said it was supposed to be easy" (Richard LaPauvre).
