About Me

I am retired, now a professor emeritus at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where I taught in the English department for 37 years. I've written 4 chapbooks and 5 full-sized books (all listed as poetry though many include other genres as well), including _Sheer Indefinite: Selected Poems, 1991-2012 (Univ. of New Orleans Press, 2012). I've also written a 500+ page bibliography of three contemporary poets: Robert Creeley, Ed Dorn, and Robert Duncan. I am writing now, both fiction and poetry, more now than ever. My first vote for President of the United States was for Dick Gregory in 1968 (Bowling Green, Ohio). Favorite quote: "It's easy to be an idealist if you don't have to mind the evidence, but no one said it was supposed to be easy" (Richard LaPauvre).

"The only thing under my sleeve is another sleeve." . . . . Please come CAPTION Tucker Carlson!!!

Tucker (The Secretary of Mistakes) Carlson is saying: "How is it fear mongering to point out the obvious: that just like in South Africa there's a genocide of white males just over the historical horizon and point that simple fact out night after night after night. . . It's obvious: they only call me a 'fear-mongerer' because they don't have any better arguments."

Above CAPTION based on the following clip from Fox on Media Matters:

This year's Senate limbo champion: . . . .Please come CAPTION Lindsey Graham!!

Lindsey ("How low can you go?" ) Graham is saying: "Despicable? I'll tell you what's despicable: It's despicable when Democrats use these hearing for their own grandstanding, thinking only of their political future, and if I'm ever selected Attorney General, I'll look into it immediately!"

Kavanaugh's role in the 1998 Starr investigation indicates he was a political hack even then.

Kavanaugh was Starr's leaker when Jack Gillis and I took on "The Talking Points," the 3-page memo presumptively (by Starr's shitheads) written by Clinton and/or Clinton's men to suborn the perjury of Paula Jones who had brought suit against the President and which was the only piece of "evidence" Starr used to get an extension of authority to investigate the Lewinsky affair as well as his original charge: Whitewater.

From February to August 1998, Jack and I wrote an essay which grew to over forty pages in length and was published on The Real News Page, Salon and other sites. We gradually bubbled up onto newsroom floors and were interviewed on CNN's "Burden of Proof" as well as many radio programs. Using evidence we not only show that the provenance of the document was hybrid, but that it was not written by Clinton or his "men," but was likely written by Linda Tripp (with the aid of Lucianne Goldberg) who dictated the document to Lewinsky (to be handed to Tripp in a sting and turned over to Starr. Farfetched, not for that snake Tripp who phoned Lewsinsky constantly.)

The major point as concerns the present, is that Starr KNEW the document was false since Clinton's deposition of early 1998 (which were not revealed until late that summer) directly contradicted the "points" in "The Talking Points." (After all, why would Clinton prompt someone to swear under oath to something that directly contradicted what he had already sworn?)

Jack and I sparred with Starr for 4-5 of those months during we proved several ways that the document was phony and had columns in the Boston Globe and New York Magazine written about our work. Each time Starr would leak (through Kavanaugh) another supposed fact, we would counter it in the next draft. That is, until the dress. Then the story, as Tom Oliphant said, was over.

The "Talking Points" its suggestion of perjury were washed away by Clinton's ejaculation.

But Kavanaugh had been instrumental for months in Starr's deception as to the "Talking Points."

Don't misunderstand, I am not defending Clinton's harassment and or rapes. Those are as those are. But I am pointing a finger at Kavanaugh and calling him out as the political hack he is.

(On the following Pew Research timeline, we're July 6. But there are many articles covering our work.):

Profiles in Crazy, IV. . . Please come CAPTION Presidented Trump!!!

Donald ("Macbeth didn't know what he was talking about" )Trump is thinking: "Why are they calling me unethical? I don't understand. . . . If the F.B.I. finds nothing on Kavanaugh, he's on the bench and everybody's happy. . . . If the F.B.I. says they found something, I say the Democrats railroaded him with the aid of a corrupt F.B.I. Then I can go in and clean house. . . . That sounds like a win-win to me. . . . Just how is that unethical?"

"Dr, Jekyll, step aside." . . . Please come CAPTION Lindsey Graham!!

Lindsey ("I've rented a pair of nuts for the next two hours" ) Graham is saying: "They're plainly trying to steal a Supreme Court seat from conservatives and the rest of the country for that matter. Then they call us hypocrites when we never dreamed of doing anything thing like this to them. . . . Now they call us liars when we call them out on lying about 'who's the hypocrite?'! . . . Can you imagine such duplicity??? . . . How twisted can you get???"

"I never even played around with Barbie dolls." . . . . Please come CAPTION Brett Kavanaugh!!!

Brett ("I take Viagra just for the wet dreams" ) Kavanaugh is saying: "Martha, lying under oath goes against every fiber of my being. Just ask my physician."

"There's a song in my pants.". . . . Please come CAPTION Brett Kavanaugh!!!

Brett (Blue B*lls) Kavanaugh is saying: "I respect and cherish women as much as the Catholic Church respects and cherishes children."

Above CAPTION based on the interview as labelled on 9.24.18.

"I'm the fairest man I know." . . . Please come CAPTION Grandpa Grassley, Chr., Judiciary Comm.

Chuck ("What do facts have to do with anything?" ) Grassley is saying: "It's really very simple, if she mis-remembered a party and what happened there, as it seems abundantly clear, then that's how bad her memory is. . . . The Dems just can't deal with logic. . . . But, sure, we'll be glad to hear what she has to say."

Above CAPTION and the last on in journal are based on The Judiciary Committee's "desire" to hear Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh's accuser, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford:

Come CAPTION Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley, from the great State of Deception!

Chuck (Passing the judicial buck) Grassley is saying: “‘What are the facts in the Kavanagh case? Why won’t we investigate?’ Is that what you’re asking? . . . Didn’t you read the door on your way in? . . . This is the Judiciary Committee, not the Encyclopedia Britannica!”

"I have more brains in my little pinkie than you have in your big toe!" CAPTION PresiDented Trump!!!

Donald Trump is saying: "Cabinet meetings? Why should I have cabinet meetings when Hannity, Dobbs, and Judge Jeanine are all on Fox?"
