"Everyone else is a moron!" . . . Please come CAPTION Alan Dershowitz!!!

Alan ("My hemorrhoids are smarter than Laurence Tribe's" ) Dershowitz is saying "Listen, President Trump could give Honey Boo Boo an abortion on the White House lawn and if he said it was in the national interest, then you can't touch him. He could sodomize Big Bird on MSNBC, or pay a hit-man to take out Hillary, or snort a mound of coke and flash the Pope . . . . Well, you get the idea. . . . Conversely, if he feels another candidate would be bad for the country, he not only has the right but the obligation to take him or her out of the race by any means possible"

"I worked out for weeks to be able to carry this load in here." Come CAPTION Alan Dershowitz!

Alan Dershowitz is saying: "And furthermore Thomas Jefferson's wife never said a word about impeachment. . . . Are we going to pretend we are closer to the events of that day and the framers' mind? . . . That would be, I respectfully submit, absurd."

Is something about to come out about Trump-Ukraine? Is that the reason for Republicans to speed up?

It doesn't look like the Republican will use their 24 hours of defense.

I know they are worried about new information coming out, like the "Get her out of there" tape of this weekend.

A few more revelations like this would make several Republican senators consider calling witnesses.

Perhaps they know of some information which is likely to come out and Moscow Mitch wants to wrap things up before that happens.

Perhaps they are afraid Bolton may begin talking.

But we've seen a new sense of urgency of the past few days and that seems to reflect something they are very worried about.

Some Like It Snot. . . . Please come CAPTION Mike Pompeo!

Mike Pompeo is saying: "I consider myself a reasonable person but when some wobbly little twit like yourself asks me an outlandish question like why I haven't supported a f*cking former ambassador, that's like trying to nail my ball-sack to the wall . . . So, you spoiled little c*nt, I'll give you a reasonable answer even though you don't deserve it. Read my memoirs when they f*cking some out, that is if you can read."

Above CAPTION based on this dick's reaction to NPR's (Mary Louise Kelly's) question as covered by The Detroit News:

"You won't believe it, but . . ." Please come CAPTION Rudy Guiliani!!!!

Rudy (Toys in the Attic) Guiliani is saying: ". . . and the Impeachment hearings are missing the fact that Joe Biden made over eight-million dollars in brides in Ukraine, so at noon today I'm announcing my own hearings against Joe and Hunter Biden and next week I'll be releasing taped interviews with a dozen Ukrainians who will testify to the Bidens' corrupt enterprise in Ukraine."

*********************************************************************

The above in not a real CAPTION (fictionalized speech to satirize the speaker) but a summary of what REALLY HAPPENED THIS MORNING (1.24.20) based on this 4:23-minute clip at Media-ite (you won't believe it but . . .):

"Instead of a safety net, how about concrete floor?" . . . Please come CAPTION PresiDented Trump!

PresiDented Trump is saying: "Our economy is going gangbusters, the greatest in the history of the world. We're breaking old records almost every day. That's why it's a good time to look at Social Security and Medicare. . . . I mean, with such a great economy, why do we even need them?"

"Who put the SHOW in Dershowitz?? . . . . Please come CAPTION The Liars' Lawyer!!!

Alan Dershowitz is saying: "Who ever told you that a crime was unnecessary for a successful impeachment is either a liar or a fool or both!"

****************************************************

Above CAPTION Based on this spud's appearance on Larry King in August 1998 when he said: "It doesn't have to be a crime. If you have somebody who completely corrupts the office, and who abuses trust, and who poses great danger to our liberty, you don't need a technical crime."

Here's a clip from CNN:

"I once had sexual feelings. I nipped them in the bud. Still hurts." Come CAPTION Kenneth Starr!!!

Kenneth Starr is saying: "Just as I proved President Clinton was guilty of subornation of perjury by writing a three page document, the notorious "Talking Points," encouraging a witness to testify falsely, so will I prove President Trump is totally innocent in this case."

*********************************************************************************

Above CAPTION based on the fact he DIDN'T prove subornation of perjury and the "talking pooing," which he used to get the extension of authority to investigate the Lewinsky affair (and not just Whitewater as originally charged), were never mentioned in the articles although leaks form his investigation said they were "the smoking gun."

Fortunately, in 1998, a Ph.D. graduate student (Jack Gillis, now Dr. Gillis if he is still breathing) and I had the opportunity to prove in a thirty-page document published on multiple sites on the web and finally with appearances on CNN's Burden of Proof and radio interviews (Pacifica, WABC-New York, etc.), and in columns written about our work in The Boston Globe (Oliphant), The New York Observer (Conason), etc. that the "tlaking points" were not written by the President or his men, as alleged, but were a set-up, a fraud, perpetuated by some right-wing hacks which Starr had to be aware of after Gillis and my work started appearing. The entire use of this document was a SHAM and Starr knew it. This is the nature of the man.

"No, your Honor, YOU'RE out of order!" . . . Please come CAPTION Alan Dershowitz!!!

Alan Dershowitz is saying: "Abuse of power, even if proved, is not an impeachable offense. Besides, you have to view this entire matter in the context of the late eighteenth-century American history when the constitution was written. But Ukraine didn't even exist until 1922, so how could the framers have visualized withholding aid to a country that doesn't exist? It's patently absurd."
January 17, 2020

"Herewith I name the maggot the national animal." . . . . Please come CAPTION Donald Trump!!

Donald ("I know more about hemorrhoids than anybody" ) Trump is saying "Are you kidding? You can't trust this Lex Parnas guy for a second. . . . I mean, he says he lied for years and years and years and all of a sudden he's telling he truth? Give me break. . . . He's got a major credibility issue if you ask me."

About skip fox

I am retired, now a professor emeritus at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where I taught in the English department for 37 years. I've written 4 chapbooks and 5 full-sized books (all listed as poetry though many include other genres as well), including _Sheer Indefinite: Selected Poems, 1991-2012 (Univ. of New Orleans Press, 2012). I've also written a 500+ page bibliography of three contemporary poets: Robert Creeley, Ed Dorn, and Robert Duncan. I am writing now, both fiction and poetry, more now than ever. My first vote for President of the United States was for Dick Gregory in 1968 (Bowling Green, Ohio). Favorite quote: "It's easy to be an idealist if you don't have to mind the evidence, but no one said it was supposed to be easy" (Richard LaPauvre).
