His house is in the village though;

To watch his woods fill up with snow.

He gives his harness bells a shake   

To ask if there is some mistake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,   

But I have promises to keep,   

And miles to go before I sleep,

big fluffy snowflake's falling in a hardwood forest? It is an experience that is difficult to describe.

At first, as you still yourself and let your breathing become soft and slow, you may question your own senses: "Am I really HEARING snowflakes?" But, soon you'll find yourself smiling as you realize you are savoring a beautiful---wonderful!---sound very very few will ever take the time to notice.

And, if you are inclined to thoughtful introspection, you just may wonder what other quiet joys you have been "too busy" to experience.


May the peace and love of this beautiful season cling to all of us as a new year begins.

and authority---as Rep. Perry is doing---after insisting so ardently that he should be a member of it, but that assumes that he has a sense of shame.

I will not be at all be surprised if he joins Perry in attempting to discredit the committee on which he thought he should be seated.

Trump was never a legitimate POTUS. 2016 was hardly a "free and fair election". Between Putin's substantial assistance, grossly illegal campaign funds, the crimes of MAGA Nation and the NONdemocratic electoral college, Trump surprised himself all to hell by "winning" the White House despite losing the popular vote by nearly three million.

To admit this awful truth is to acknowledge that our "system" failed us; the Founding Fathers failed to construct a system that could deal with a "perfect storm" of a sociopathic executive PLUS a cowardly, myopic and immoral legislature.

IF our democracy survives the "Trump era", it will not be because "the system worked". It will be because we were lucky enough to have several decent patriots in the right place at the right time who said "Hell, no!"

Trump's January 6th Mar-A-Lago "press conference", below is what I just sent them. Contact info is available on line. Compose your own or cut and paste what I wrote, but please encourage them not to give this sociopath free air time.

"ANY network that chooses to broadcast Trump's January 6th Mar-A-Lago "press conference will be providing an open microphone and a national audience to a sociopathic MONSTER intent on destroying our democratic government and seizing absolute power. Should you be one of them, I promise to avoid your future broadcasts AND contact dozens of your largest advertisers to ask why they choose to hand money to a network unconcerned with their complicity in Trump's next coup attempt.
Just so you know."

It is simply this: if our state and federal legal systems will not make admitted criminals pay a price for their crimes against democracy and the American people---some of the American people are bound to mete out their own messy version of justice.

I am NOT advocating this and I hope and pray it will not occur. But, damn it! People need to see some smirks wiped off some faces and a few raised middle fingers snapped backward.

PTB, if any notice this, please take it seriously. Patience in many quarters is wearing VERY thin.

any shred of whatever honesty, decency and patriotism they may have possessed pre-Trump. Actually, I think some of them were just giddy to have a leader who gave them permission to be the selfish, arrogant racists they always were.

There is no decent excuse for those Congressional votes---even AFTER the Capitol had been invaded by thugs intent on murder and the overthrow of our government--- to do what the thugs had just failed to accomplish: OVERTHROW OUR GOVERNMENT!

A feverish gaggle of Trump's "brownshirts" just fell all over each other cheering and applauding their new poster boy for the right to shoot people who don't agree with you with a rifle you can't legally possess. You know him as Kyle Rittenhouse, the 18 year old who is now paid to tell crowds that his killings were just "exercising his 2nd Amendment rights".

"Forget" what this little idiot did? "Forgive?"

These people did not change. Trump did not "seduce" them. He simply agreed with their values: rules and laws are for suckers, God intended white men to rule and winning is all that counts.

If what I have just said brands me as a harsh unforgiving Trump-hater----I can sure as hell live with that.
