Let's begin.
Ok, so we can't jail everyone who violates a stay-at-home order and fining people who are
out of work doesn't make much sense. So, what penalty should be imposed on the scofflaws? I have a suggestion.
Police should "ticket" violators who refuse to wear masks, gather for large parties or disobey police orders to disperse. One ticket would have no penalty just because everyone gets to be stupid once. But, the second ticket would disqualify the offender from any government stimulus or bailout payments. The third would mean that if the offender became infected with the Corona virus, they would go to the end of the line for treatment---behind all law-abiding patients. They would get a hospital bed or oxygen or a ventilator only if no one who had followed the recommended protocols needed it at the same time.
These people claim that there is no reason for these "infringements" on their liberty; that only people who "were gonna die anyway" would be in danger. So, they should have no problem with these "tickets", right?
Let them put up or shut up.
Could those who post clips from David Packman please label them as such.
Some may feel that giving Mr. Packman 5 minutes of face time in order to watch a 20 second video or read a few lines of transcript is worthwhile. I do not and "click off" each time I unknowingly select such a post and see his name writ bold on a black screen before he appears.
