They are betting that a "just big enough" plurality of voters is stupid enough to believe his absurd and transparent lies.
We all know that Trump is dangerously incompetent. He is a mean, self-centered psychopath whose
greed is exceeded only by his arrogance. But, so what, right?
Although we agree that he is terrible and just may destroy us, we seem to be unable---or unwilling---to let ourselves publicly declare that "We are mad as hell and we're not going to take this any more!" That would be "extreme" and "impolite" and---tsk-tsk!---"inappropriate". I think the fascists in the Trump regime are DEPENDING on our "niceness".
And, I think that a little "smash-mouth" politics would not just be effective, it would have goose-steppers like Miller and Gorka wetting themselves.
Gee, Mr. Tump, you've got some really great unidentified camo-clad mercenaries in Portland!
Sure be a shame if something happened to them.
Just a simple question: could it be any more obvious, any more accepted as a fact, that
Donald Trump is seriously mentally ill? Insane? Unhinged?
Would rational people allow this man to occupy ANY position of authority?
Trumpian "logic": if stencilling "POLICE" across your chest makes one a legitmate and
authorized law enforcement officer, then Joe Biden could simply embroider the Presidential Seal onto his shirt above "President Joseph Biden" and move into the White House.
Easy-peezy. "We don't need no stinkin' 'lection!"
To be fair, I think Trump has accomplished something that no one thought possible:
he has made Sarah Palin seem literate and eloquent.
Being tolerant is considered a requirement for anyone who wishes to be considered a liberal or
any type of decent person. We have been lectured that we should not disregard or disrespect the views of others with whom we do not agree. Rather, we should simply "agree to disagree" because there are "two sides to every story". This is bullshit.
I can tolerate anyone who chooses a different lifestyle, has their own version of spirituality, is a different color or loves differently than I do. But, I WILL not be tolerant of fools---exactly the correct descriptor---whose loud and mean-spirited blather is transparently idiotic. This includes nearly everything vomited out of Trump's puckered pie hole and, of course, the mewling sycophants who always agree with every absurdity which he anoints as fact.
Many of the talking heads on TV, nearly all of the doctors and scientists and other government experts, continue to respect the rancid aberration in the White House. They soft-pedal any outrageous stupidity spewed by Trump. There are dozens and dozens of examples, but perhaps the most egregious is Dr. Deborah Birx's reaction to Trump's suggestion that somehow getting disinfectants of UV lights "inside" of our bodies could destroy Corona virus. She was maybe ten feet away from him when he said this and when he turned to her to comment---she basically kissed his ass as she sought to avoid saying "That is a ridiculous suggestion and could lead to people ingesting toxic substances!"
Finally, most commentators will call Trump's lies "lies". But, they need to go further. They need to add words like "fool" and "idiot" and "ridiculous" and, yes, please, "bullshit" to their on-air vocabulary when covering the Trump regime.
Anyone can stencil "POLICE" onto their chest. Without more, this gives them zero
authority to do anything coercive to any citizen. They are simply a part of a large number of people who are "UNIDENTIFIED".
If an unidentified person attempts to lay hands on you or detain you or assault you or threaten you with a firearm, you have the right to defend yourself.
You can strike them with your hands, feet or any object you can swing.
If you possess a legal firearm or knife, you can use it to defend yourself against an attack by an unidentified armed individual.
Is this dangerous? Yes, but so is meekly submitting to being kidnapped by "WHOM?" and transported to "WHERE?" and detained for "HOW LONG?" and for "WHAT REASON?"
It is time to let Trump's mercenaries know that we intend to treat them like the thugs they are.
This is the "nice" version of what I want to say. I left out all the "hair, teeth and eyeballs" aspects.
When someone repeatedly takes actions that are certain to kill members of your community,
you---and all members of your community---are morally entitled to claim self defense and take such actions as may be necessary to punish the offender end the offenses.
To paraphrase "Hawkeye" Pierce, "The instrument has yet to be invented that could measure
the sheer and revolting stupidity of __________________." ( insert name of any Trump regime functionary )
